Maybe you should write a letter to their agents.

Yea that's a tough one.
Canuck fans razzing about not getting our elite early-20s emerging stars signed to their inevitable long term deals in the middle of the summer.
Wonder what kind of retort could be mustered up to that.
Perhaps something simple like we actually have young budding top line players?

partnership between #nhl and #nhlpa known as World Cup of Hockey will provide a form of asset value protection (insurance) for free agents

I would really prefer these signings be done.
And no, me posting this isn't me freaking out or panicking, so please save those posts.

This sort of goes without saying, no? I think this is the primary reason why this thread has been so quiet over the past week or so.

It doesn't go without saying. Problem is that as soon as someone expresses disappointment the signings aren't done, there is a flurry of posters expressing some dismay that people need to get a life or that they should stop panicking.
No one knows why the deals aren't done yet.

Did you read nik-'s post? He never once mentioned anything about ongoing concerns surrounding the delay, only that he would prefer it to be done already.
I think it goes without saying that there are no Flames fans here who are pleased Monahan and Gaudreau have not yet signed. Under every circumstance we all would prefer this to be over with.

I really don't see your point unless it is just to nit pick people's comments.

Insured for what exactly?
Say one of them - lets go with Trouba - has a career ending injury... what are they insured for? "Yeah, I'm sure you would have made about $100M in the next 15 years, so here ya go!"

Trelevings probably trying to low ball Gaudreau as he has no right to sign an offer sheet...hopefully he realizes this kids the future of the franchise.
That and I'm hearing Monahan is asking for 7 mill when clearly the market has dictated his worth at around 6.5 million.
For the love of Lucifer let's just get this thing done already, it's getting annoying at this point.

I think literally 100% of the board wants these signings done.
So your post may not be a freak out, but it's kind of a given for everyone, isn't it?

Would probably be a neutral arbitrator or something.

I predict they both sign next week, by Aug 12th.
