Yup, Elliott is gone for sure. Really makes you realize how spoiled we were with Kipper for all those years.

Not saying Elliott was good but at times out defense was pathetic. Hard to blame it all on him.

We severely limited Anaheim's scoring chances in each of game 2,3 and 4. The D was not the problem at all. At one point tonight scoring chances were 14-4 for the Flames and they trailed 2-0. That's not on the D.

surprised the PA allows trades like that...it hurts him in negotiation through not fault of his own

He should get a job as Liev Schreiber's stunt double. Looks just like him.
Kidding. Feel terrible for him. Wish it could have been a different story.

If Kipper takes any heat for his change from
Sitter/Playfair to Keenan, can we ask this question?

When it comes to the goaltending situation Tre has shown he has no magic. Goaltending has been an issue in every season he's been here.

As another poster said in the PGT, Elliott is probably going to be haunted by this series for the rest of his life. Very sad.

Last three games. Even though he played well after the two softies in game 2, you just can't have those. Demorolizes and tightens up the team.
The goal tonight was cruel. I feel bad for him. But he can't and won't be back.

You can't bring him back after these playoffs. God I don't know if he will get more than a 1 year contract from anyone. Teams are going to wonder about his psychological make up after this series.
Furthermore, flames need to keep the 3rd round pick.

Elliott's mental game is terrible at times. 0% chance we re-sign him unless Flames organization wants a mutiny from the fan base.
His last 40 minutes as a Flame has cost him millions in contract dollars. I cannot imagine what that must feel like. He will replay those 40 minutes for a long time.
Goaltending is a tough position. Hero or goat with little in between.

C'mon. Elliott sucks monster dong but he was still the best goalie in terms of Sv% last year. Treliving gave up only a 2nd and guess what, the Flames can now walk away from Elliott and are not tied to some ridiculous contract.
Do you know what the odds of a 2nd round pick are? Elliott also saved the regular season and gave you 4 extra games (abiet, all losing games at that). That's magic. What did you think, Treliving would become the goalie coach after acquiring a good goalie on paper?
Some things you just can't see coming

Check the save percentage of all the goalies he has signed since being here. In every case they were above average. Elliott was an elite 0.930 last year.
It is a mystery to all of us on CP why Hiller, Ramo, Elliott and Johnson all regressed after being signed here. Sigalet is the only common denominator.
