The Flames should select their own version of McDavid for interviews with players from other teams..

"Bedard, you are having a great game and season. However, what's it like playing against Blake Coleman for the first time in your career?"

C'mon Mayers, quit pumping McAvi's tires.

Seattle's next two games are against Anaheim, and after tonight, Pittsburgh's next two are against Columbus (and they currently lead Carolina in the third).

The Flames could realistically be in the 8th overall draft spot by the weekend.

Bedard has gotten a lot of opportunities to say just the right things on away TV interviews.

Good question. Huska doesn't seem like much of a yeller but he was doing things like benching Huberdeau for poor play earlier in the season.

I'd like to see them shake up the lines and particularly to put Zary at C for a while.

Sorry
But
A “3 or 4 year away from winning window” could be argued as wildly optimistic. It’s more likely that in 4 years we will be realizing this rebuild isn’t working, rip it up.

Two months into the process seems early to declare failure, even from the most pessimistic of Flames fans. I mean they have 14 picks in the first 3 rounds over the next 3 years and have 4 guys from the first 3 rounds of last years draft. Surely some of those guys will work out.

Savvy I am, completely, unfamiliar with Huska, and know little about his coaching style, thanks.

Oh no
I’m not declaring failure
All I’m saying is it’s probably best not to put a bunch of expectations on things at this point
We are back to the “crawling” stage, perhaps we will be ready to run in 5 years and that would be great. But there’s a long unknown road ahead at this point

It’s so cute to see a young one like you imitating your idol.

NP, I saw that replay, I hadn't noticed that live.

Well.

If the Flames goal is to improve their draft picks.

Mission accomplished

Nice chance for Coronato there. I am still really optimistic about him. He creates a lot of chances despite unimpressive point totals. Once he gets the confidence to score at the NHL level he's gonna be good
