Awesome, I hope we get to see him play, even though I don't want to see Stone held out of the lineup from his injury. Been excited about this guy ever since we drafted him.
Very excited to see him play. He's so young so I'm kind of nervous but if he plays well our D just becomes that much deeper. He's fully deserved this call up. Can't wait to see how he looks. Massive opportunity for him.
It is an emergency recall... Which means it won't count as one of the 4 non-emergency recalls the Flames have between the trade deadline and the end of Stockton's season.

Rasmus must be pumped! From getting the smack down received from management about his fitness to having a good year and playing in his first NHL game, well done!

what are the rules behind it being an emergency recall? Does Wideman have to play over him?
The rule for an emergency recall is that it only qualifies as an emergency if you can't dress 12 forwards or 6 d-men or 2 goalies. Which implies that if Hamilton is ready to go, then the Flames will have 6 d-men including Wideman, which means Andersson won't dress.

So probably just in case Hamilton and Stone can't go. If one of them can play they don't burn one of the 4 call ups.

If that happens, they could convert him to a regular call-up if they wanted to play him instead of Wideman.
Since there's still uncertainty over Hamilton and Stone's statuses, might as well use the Emergency recall for now to keep the 4 regular recalls available.
