After a rocky install, first thoughts are Great. Blizzard got back to what made this game innovative and learned from CATA and MoP. Great story, creative scenes, new lore, new look to familiar characters and more customization. Lots of work for them to do yet as it does have a lot of bugs, but that is beta. Map size and questing flow is simular to MoP so far. The toons that have the remodel look fantastic as well.
Don't have a beta key yet but I am following along with the development. What class and spec are you playing? How does the play style differ after the ability pruning? How do you like the new character models? From all of the video and screen shots I've seen the game is looking gorgeous.
I have determined the only reason we keep going back is because its hard to get that group of people you play with to all move to a new game and its the social aspect we love so much so we all go back to that familiar place. I don't want to play but I bet we all end up back there from our guild.
I got my key in the first wave, although I haven't tried it yet. Been subscribed for probably 8 years. Can barely bring myself to fire it up for farm each week right now. I guess nearly 8 months of the same thing will do that.
I've been playing since BC. I have a BM Hunter. My rotation is definitely changed but the other strange thing for me is not playing with Mods. They have incorporated some of the most popular mods but it is just not the same yet.
Still early as I said but the remakes look amazing. The Draenei look the best so far, Tauren 2nd and Orc 3rd.
I think it's pretty darn cool. I got my beta invite on July 15th.
It's very weird playing with the stock UI. I like the new quest interface, I remember some of the Vanilla quests being very difficult with little to no guidance on how to complete them.
I haven't played WOW since the cap was 85, not sure how long ago that is now, but I have taken a look at the PvP features for WoL and it has me interested.
Perfect timing as well with a November release, summer fishing rod goes away and the ice isn't thick enough to start ice fishing yet.
I really like the fact that you can gain honor from arena skirmishes (and that they are back). I would play those for hours and hours just having fun with different match ups and skill levels of other players.
I never have enjoyed the raiding aspect of WOW, but the ability to log in for as much or as little time as I want and still be able to get a fair (laugh) fight through the queue system has always been a key concept for me.
Cinematic was very well done.

I haven't played since burning crusade but lately have been thinking about trying it out with my surface 3, would make for a good time waster while sitting in the hotel on work trips.
How frustrated would I get starting up again? I believe I had every class maxed level at that time.
