I'd bet a significant amount of money he won't get anywhere near that.

He definitely isn't getting the 5 million everyone was predicting before the trade.

I think he`d be a good fit in Dallas. There`s a massive drop off there on the left side after Benn.

this has to be somewhat alarming for the Glencross camp now, doesn't it? Is he looking to take a beating compared to his "discount" in Calgary? What a great trade for Treliving.
2nd is used to make the Hamilton deal
3rd is used to trade up for Kylington
Guessing he's going to sign a 2 year deal worth something like 3.8 now

And to think there were posters here so against trading him. Hamilton alone is obviously reason enough but I completely forgot that the Glencross trade also played a part in us being able to land Kylington. Some posters like to look at picks as gambles but they are currency and very valuable currency at that. I hope Treliving continues making moves just like this.

If he is in the market for a 2 year deal for under 2 million, i'm hoping Treveling circles back to him.
That's a steal for the versatility he brings.

I think I'd rather give one of our young players his minutes though. I think a kid can bring close to what he would and in the long term probably benefits the team more.

0 reason to bring him back. The "intangibles" he would bring back are not worth it. I still stand by my guns in that I'd rather give a contract to Semin than Glencross if they were the same money.

Posted the 6 millionth post!

The rise of guys like Hudler, Stajan and Giordano as leaders means that the "intangibles" that Glenny used to bring would be subtle at best.
Absolutely zero interest in bringing him back and clogging up the whole roster. Only if Raymond and Bollig are sent packing would I be OK with him coming back, as we'd be spread a bit thin on the left side of veteran presence.

No to Glencross. No to Semin.
Glad he is gone, we are a better team now.

Agree. Glenny got thrown under the bus a lot here, fair or not, but regardless of the price, we've turned the page on his time here. Thanks for your years of service, thanks for taking a hometown discount and thanks for your community involvement but it's time for the prospects to battle it out for his position.

Time to pay glencross for what he is, not what he was.
He's a bottom six (bottom 3?) forward on a good team who isn't reliable enough or consistent enough in his level of compete to warrant regular icetime anymore.
It's the same problem he's always had, he just doesn't have the shooting percentage anymore to cover that up.
There's no room on this franchise for him anymore. There might not even be room for him in the league.

Bouma does what Glencross used to do, only with more energy. Ferland, Colborne or even Shore, as well could fill the "grit plus some scoring" in time. Glencross isn't getter better, he's trending downward, fairly sharply. It's too bad - I thought he might benefit from being on the Caps.
He'd be pretty good in Edmonton - they have no one like him.

Our team doesn't float anymore. We've moved past that chapter, no to glencross.

I'm shocked he hasn't signed in Edmonton yet. He really would be a good fit there.

He's probably waiting until after the Stampede to sign a contract IMO.

That's harsh. I didn't follow Glencross in Washington, was he terrible or something?
I have a hard time believing he still can't be a useful complimentary player somewhere. Not in Calgary though, I agree.
