To me this is the biggest thing when people bring up the generational differences. I can't think of many complaints about kids today that can't be also dumped on people of all ages. I routinely hear "kids are entitled" from the same people who complain about their checked-out coworkers who throw tantrums when things don't go their way.

It's definitely not a generational thing. "Asian baby girls", aka the Asian version of "valley girls", have been doing the garish fake lash, lots of sparkles/shiny, loud eye makeup, and long fingernail thing for the past 30 years.

Social media like Instagram, Tik Tok, and YouTube makeup tutorials have really brought it to the mainstream in recent years though

Entitled kids are bad, entitled adults are way worse.
