Anyone know if alumni can get a wristband? my cousin is in his 1st year and I'd love to go with him. I graduated last year but couldn't go because I had to work.
Failing that can any u of c students not planning on attending wanna get me a bracelet? PM me. Thanks in advance.

The drinking starts at around 8 am (or whenever you wake up) and continues until you decide to stop. People wander the school hammered and girls are in bikini tops.
Also known as Saturday at any large US school with a decent football program

There was a Beer Mile event created on Facebook a couple of days ago, but it has since been taken down. Belief is that its going to go down regardless. Unlike the couch races, Cops don't seem to really care about the Beer Mile. Sentiment seems to be: if you want to run a mile, while getting drunk and vomiting... that's your deal.
Anyway, thanks to both CPers that offered. I now have a bracelet and am set for tomorrow.
I sure hope you still have your "new-style" UC I.D Card. Student's Union said on facebook this morning that they will be requiring wristbands and UCids to enter the beer gardens in an attempt to keep MRU and SAIT students out.

I graduated less than 12 months ago. I'm not too worried.
My ID card is actually from the first batch of "new" ID cards. In the first batch all of the red on the cards wore away, so I'm left with a peach colored ID card.
It was accepted less than 6 months ago at the den, so I'm pretty confident.

While you're having fun guys, think of us who are stuck inside writing exams and have a drink for us
I do like history but an exam is not exactly the part of Uni that I'm looking to enjoy.
And don't worry, many drinks will be had for those of you not lucky enough to come out tomorrow.

BSD pro tip - Walk around with a video camera with a microphone plugged in and say you're from the university. As soon as you plug a mic into a camcorder it looks like serious business. My buddy and I did that one year and walked right through lines (quick interview with the bouncer, and then in we'd go). We also interviewed a bunch of hot chicks. I still have the video and that was in 1999.
We may see a lot of it gone by noon. Hour by hour on Weather Network looks ok.
Friend of mine who is a current student said it won't be moving to Mac hall. No matter the weather. Hopefully it does improve.
I think it'll actually be more fun with the snow. All the prissy people will complain somewhere else, while all the people that want to have fun will go out regardless.

Once you get into corporate Calgary, the Stampede becomes your 10 day BSD
Totally, its BSD but you also don't pay for booze, and the college girl games are done with. The older ladies know what they want, and cut to the chase...
BSD is fun, but corp Stampede as a single guy is a gong show.
