If you've ever flown on a day like this, you know the bigger problem at the airport is for departures. You leave the gate to deice, make it down to the runway, wait 15 min for snow removal, wait 10 min for arrivals, your deice fluid times out, go back and deice, hit your minimum departure fuel... rinse and repeat.

Canucks are going to fly into Edmonton and then will take a smaller private plane to the airport in Didsbury and will then drive the one hour south to Calgary so it looks like the game maybe delayed by an hour but will still happen .

I just heard on the radio that it's not flying but landing in Calgary that is a concern. They said that the plane will fly in and, if conditions are dangerous, it will return to Vancouver.

"Cleared for takeoff 26L from Charlie, 7DX". Time now 2:12 pm. So do the math. ~3:25 they'll touch down assuming no delays for snow removal or anything else.

I think them barely getting here after playing last night would be better for the Flames than a re-schedule. Although the Flames might have Kipper if the game is postponed
