Mindcrack season 6 has been entertaining. For the last few episodes (E06, E07) I've been following Kurt around, and then picked up Zisteau for E06 and E07 again.
I like Kurt's commentary, and he does a really good job producing his videos. Zisteau can get on my nerves, but he certainly has his own ultra-hardcore style. I giggled a lot watching his videos.
Just made a video of the new snapshot. http://youtu.be/uUJg3-Sfq4Y
As part of my Let's Play. Seems to me that they need to balance out the amount of exp required per level a little more, but overall I like the new snapshot/patch that they are putting out.
What do you guys think?
I have created a High Yield Wheat farm for 1.3 (or the current snapshot)
I will include my video that I created on it below, but here are some fun stats of the wheat farm.
Each level is 5 blocks high and 22 Blocks wide by 22 blocks long.
You can fully stack the wheat farm to as high as you want.
Each level of the Wheat farm will harvest 113 Wheat on a full harvest.
Full lighting setup that is Ice Friendly.
Highly recommended on a community server.
Low resource requirement, no pistons, no repeaters, Ice is not required, but recommended.
Please Like my Video and Subscribe if you like what you see.
I also have a Let's Play series on my channel and will be adding more multiplayer footage as well.
I haven't played Minecraft in about a year but I've been wanting to play it again. Gonna have to install this and play around a bit this weekend.
I've been using that mod (the water shaders are in an unreleased beta right now, though), and it looks so awesome. The dynamic shadows updating in a pixelated manner is kind of ugly, though.

Anyone else hear about "Cluster Chunk"? Basically it's a PVP map where two teams compete. Objective is two break the other teams bed so they can't respawn, then kill whoever's left.
I recently built a new computer and moved my user account folder from the default place on the system drive (SSD) to my storage drive. This is working great, but Minecraft wants to install by default to its normal spot in the user accounts folder. I've been trying to move it to the SSD, but I've been having some trouble with that. Following one of the many guides online on how to install Minecraft to a USB drive has gotten me most of the way there, but when I try to run the game I get some cryptic errors thrown at me that make me believe that the game doesn't have the proper permissions on the C drive to write the files it needs. Is there some way I can fix this? Let me know if I haven't provided enough info. Thanks.
Like Rathji and Ethaniel, I've started my own Minecraft LP. I have no idea if anyone on here is still interested in things like this, but thought I'd post it here anyways. Here's episode one:
You can see right there in the thumbnail my first build. It's actually a one to one replica of St. Mark's Campanile in Venice (or as close as I could get to it.) Here's a comparison shot:
I actually built the campanile before I started the series to kind of act as my hook. My second project is a really neat redstone chicken farm that I'm building in a one to one replica of the Calgary Tower. If you like architecture, I hope this is interesting. On the other hand, if you like ridiculously overcomplicated redstone, I also think you might like my stuff.
I'm seven episodes in and the redstone for the tower is nearing completion. Next episode I'm likely going to be starting on the upper part of the tower. Here's a playlist incorporating all my episodes:
I am actually part of a legit Vanilla Minecraft server group that all does YouTube videos now and we plan on doing a few contests here and there to get a few more people on. Make sure you subscribe to me and post a video as I think the other guys will like you too(if your interested). Love doing the LP's as I do a Vanilla SMP and a FTB Single Player one now and then usually another game on the side too.
Message me anytime for colabs or anything man.
My Youtube and Twitch links are in my signature.
I have stopped having any time to play video games at all, since Mrs Rathji is using my computer to work from home right now, so Minecraft has been getting no love from me.
Miss the videos.

Hey, thanks a lot for the kind words everyone. I've watched a few videos from both Rathji and Ethaniel. We've got some good talent on CP!
My newest episode is up. I've only been uploading every 2 to 3 days because of some other time constraints, but I like to think I'm putting out quality content. I have the tools for it for sure. I know a guy who works for Adobe and he was able to hook me up with the Adobe Production Pro Suite for pretty cheap. Latest episode:
I'm close to getting the tower into a recognizable state. Should look good when it's done!

^^ I subscribed to your channel back when we were posting CP ultra hardcore vids, so I've been watching your latest vids. It's obvious you take a lot of time to prepare your episodes, (getting resources, planning your builds, etc). Reminds me of Etho in that respect.
I've been playing a lot of minecraft since being introduced to it by this thread. Currently doing Vech's Black Hills v2, kind of "playing along" with Beef and Pause (and on a side note, their server config is seriously ####ed up. They have a fraction of the mob spawns that I have to deal with!). Getting bored with single player, though.
It would be fun to go through an adventure map with a few CPers sometime, or since that can be a hefty time commitment, one of the cool games like Cluster Chunk, Nail, or race for wool - that sort of thing.

Playing that first CP Ultra Hardcore was a lot of fun. Unfortunately I kind of let the others fall by the wayside. I also play a lot of WoW and have been maintaining a 20 hour per week raid schedule for a while. Between that and my survival Minecraft I pretty much have my free time filled up.
I wonder if Beef and Pause turned down the chuck render distance on their server in the server-side config. I know on the server I play on we tried that to reduce server lag and it somehow completely broke mob spawning. I would see at most 5% of the normal mob spawns that naturally occur, but things like spawners still worked fine. Seems like a likely culprit.
