The East Division is where mediocre QB's become CFL stars. Look at Trevor Harris in Edmonton compared to when he's been out east. Bo's going to be better next season because he's going to be matching up against the likes of MBT, Fajardo, Arbuckle (or what's left of Masoli) for first in the division. Conversely, Riders fans will find out the hard way when Harris struggles again against Western opponents.

Well in fairness Maier didn’t look all that good for Calgary either. Bo needed to be pulled in the 2019 playoff game vs bombers at halftime but stubborn Dave didn’t then. Same with Jake needed to be pulled some games this year too and wasn’t.
Bo will do well in Hamilton. He knows how to win. And solid leader. If the coach there manages him well, they will be a very good team this year

I'm still worried a bit about the Stamps QB situation. Maier faded down the stretch as defenses picked up on his short passing tendencies and was in over his head in the playoffs. I think the Stamps should be talking to the Ti-Cats seeing if Evans is available as I'm not clear how they can afford him given Bo's contract and all the UFA's they have recently signed.

Agreed, I'm not sure I'm sold on Maier yet. I was hoping that they would bring in a veteran to compete with him for the starting role.
Its not to late to bring Ben Sankey one of the Stamps all time if not the all time great quarterback out of retirement.

I think Huf and DD need to provide Jake with some better receivers to get a real evaluation of Maier as a QB. I like both Malik Henry and Reggie Begelton, but after that, it gets pretty thin. I also liked Shawn Bane, but he was signed by the Riders.

Stamps haven't ruled out bringing back Shawn Lemon according to this article on 3downnation:
https://3downnation.com/2023/02/16/c...k-shawn-lemon/
It also says that they made an offer to Sankey, but he decided to go the XFL route. Also says that the door hasn't been closed on Jorden, but not really open either.

Yes because he refuses to run with the ball. I mean Bo has the legs of a 45 year old.
Still haven't figured that out yet.... CFL QB who refuses to run the ball. Even Ricky Ray and Cavillo did it once in a while.

Awe plays on the edge and sometimes over the edge. I like the motor on him though.

Pumped about the Rysen John signing. Awesome to get a Canadian receiver with NFL experience.

MBT had four very solid seasons in the CFL. More than most QB's that come to the CFL can say. Leaves with a Grey Cup ring as well.

Always good when a player can leave on his own terms. I think the Argos are high on Kelley and will likely look for a journeyman backup.

Good landing spot for Dane Evans; I'm still curious if Calgary also tries to get him as insurance for Maier. I think the only other veteran QB that is still unsigned is Antonio Pipkin.

I'm surprised the Stamps haven't signed an experience backup as of yet but there's still time. I wouldn't mind Evans as I think Dickenson could work with him to improve his game. To me he has higher upside than Maier who is limited by his below average arm strength.
