She's going to GNR, Metallica, and 3 Jays games with me and Seattle. I owe her one.

GWAR is still better than those shows too. Are you going to have a giant penis cut off spraying fake blood and semen everywhere at a GNR show? Didn't think so.

I've seen GWAR, maybe i'll be lucky enough again someday.

If memory serves me correct, the last time they were here, they were on Breakfast television which seemed very odd.

Nothing will ever beat Cannibal Corpse doing Hammer Smashed Face in Ace Ventura.

Eric Church was fantastic on Saturday night BTW. About 2/3rds of the show was just him and a guitar and the guy put on a hell of a show. The crowd was totally into it too - one of the best crowds I have seen at a concert at the Dome.

is there any way at all to find out how many tickets are sold for a particular concert?
I'm always curious to follow how sales are going for shows, instead of having to wait until after the show to see how many people were there.

Depeche mode in Edmonton is an example. they're doing an arena tour and I'm curious to know how popular they still are and how many tickets they sold so far.
is it going to be 5,000 people in an 18,000 seat arena, 10,000?

So I still can't understand why he had to play the show acoustic. The band was out there just fine for about an hour. Seems more like a choice by him and not because he had to.

Rogers place can be set up for as little at 4,500 people I do believe. I doubt that show will be a full arena show. Could be wrong though.

I think they are selling out full arenas and stadiums.

Depeche Mode grossed $61 M in a 2013 tour.

I usually use the Ticketmaster live map as a good gauge:

https://www.ticketmaster.ca/depeche-...00525C9F7F598B

It looks like all of the floor seats are gone, most of the 100 bowl (minus the high corners by the sides of the stage) and there are still a fair share of tickets available in the 200 level.

It's been awhile since Britt played in Calgary. He was booked to play back at Sled Island (with the Divine Fits) in 2013 but was cancelled due to the flood. Unfortunately, don't think I will be in town that week.

By the way, the digital version (FLAC or MP3) of Spoon's latest album is on sale for only $5 (USD) on the Matador website.
