Jones has an offer on Hervey's desk and nailed two-thirds of the package.

gary lawless ✔ @garylawless
told @Wpg_BlueBombers and Matt Nichols working on finalizing 3-year deal and they hope to have it done so he can sign it while in town #cfl

So, scratch Winnipeg from winning the Grey Cup for at least another three years, then?

Wow, some big time money for Nicholls as well...

gary lawless ✔ @garylawless
Nichols deal with @Wpg_BlueBombers pretty straight forward. Bonus money is for roster dates not play time. $400 k, $420 k, $450 k #cfl @cfl

You have a bad opinion. Nichols is a good QB and that's the going rate for #1 QB's

Hey, kudos to him for cashing in, but I just don't have faith that he can lead the Bombers to the Grey Cup game let alone win a championship. I guess time will tell.

Also, I don't think my opinion is that bad as there are at least six QB's in the CFL I would rank higher than Nicholls: Mitchell, Reilly, Jennings in the West, Burris, Collaros, and Harris in the East.

If he can stay healthy (big IF), the Als will be much better in 2017 with Durant behind centre.

Because Tate is a Stampeder QB and we all know how much those melon heads love the Stamps

Also, Tate loves to trash talk and i've no doubt he's been involved with a few fan interactions whenever they play at Mosaic

At $130k with nothing upfront, I'd imagine this is a one year deal to prove himself.

Multiple sources say receiver Duron Carter is on the verge of signing with the Saskatchewan Roughriders.

The deal will likely not include any upfront money and could see the 25-year-old make around $130,000 in 2017.Carter has been telling friends he plans to sign with the Riders.

Well if the Riders go into the season with a guy like Bridge as their QB, they can have the re-encarnation of Pitts as a receiver and it won't matter.

So, who do Riders fans cast aspersions towards now that Henry is retiring?

Yeah, ever since that tweet from Bo last year that called out the practice roster shenanigans by the Riders, the watermelon brigade refer to him as Bo Levi Snitchell.

Whether you love him or in the case of Riders fans hate him he's been a great embassador for the CFL. I would imagine it's a matter of time untill we see him working for TSN.

I like Hank and although he took a run at the TSN panel last season, I think he would be a fine addition if he chooses to do tv.

@SportsOn770: Multiple reports coming in via TSN saying GM Jim Barker has been fired by the Argos. Scott Milanovich to be retained.

@TSNDaveNaylor: Our @garylawless reports Argos GM Jim Barker has been relieved of his duties.
