LA's issue is 3 of their lines look like 4th lines and their best player has been playing like a 4th liner. Toffoli is also have just a garbage season after scoring 31 last year. Their contract situation seems to be one of the worst in the league unless their players make some sort of drastic turnaround next season.

Oilers are all over the Kings. Kings are a hollow shell of their cup winning teams.

Kings have no answer for McDavid's speed. Yikes, they are old and slow

Yup. This isn't the normal Edmonton getting seriously outplayed and leaning on Talbot show. This game has been all Edmonton. Bummer.

I know we're only used to races to actually get in the playoffs in recent years with this fan base, but there's actually a whole other race that goes on between teams firmly in the playoffs to finish as high as they can position wise.

We are now in that race, and doing very well. Not meaningless.

Ugh. This looks like it's going to be a blowout with McDavid racking up points. I'm turning it off. LA is a shell of what they used to be.

Kopitar is 29, unless he has some mysterious ailment it's crazy that his production has just plummeted. Very odd

Hopefully Lombardi chokes on those contracts for the next 5-10 years while the Kings continue to miss the playoffs finishing in 9-10th place.
Lombardi can't hear you with his two Stanley Cup rings plugging his ears

Between the cap hell they are in and aging core, you have to think their window is all but closed. Unless the absolutely fleece someone in a few trades I don't see them turning it around quickly enough.

After a scoreless first period, Arvidsson and Ellis have scored and it is 2-0 Predators after forty minutes.

It is scoreless in the Sharks-Stars game midway through the second period.

The Bruins and Leafs are tied 1-1 and it is 2-1 Sabres, both games are in the third period.

Man, that was all Oilers in that first period. Kings look like hot garbage.

Kings are sad sacks. I'd have some respect at least if they came out and stuck it to the Oil. But nope!

Oh well, no more games against tired clubs after this for EDM! While the Flames have 3. Tables have turned.

Principe literally said this sentence just now:

"It's been 3 or 4 minutes since we've talked about him, so go for it Mark, talk about Connor McDavid."

They know no shame.

If San Jose loses again tonight, they could be brought back into the fold for top 3 positioning. They have 2 games left with each of the Alberta teams.

I love Iggy. Might be a shadow of his former self, but he's still got heart.

Two points for the Laughs courtesy of the referees. Soft call on Moore at that time of the game.

Every time an Oiler falls on his butt it's a penalty.
