"The number you have dialed is in your local calling area. It is not necessary to dial 1 before the area code. Please hang up and try your call again."

Look lady, if you already know my call is in my local calling area, why won't you just connect me?

OMG This is something I encounter hourly.
Airdrie to Cochrane is long distance...
Airdrie to Chestermere is local calling

... unless I use my cellphone --then it is all flatrate

Telus, right? I think Shaw just connects you(or warns you, then connects), because their phone system wasn't designed in the stone age.

True story: Shaw wanted $40,000 to connect us by installing two poles to run their cable for our business phones.

The ridges inside condiment jars (like mayo or peanut butter). Feels like I'm not getting my full return/value unless I take every last bit out. Stop making it difficult.

I think I complain about this every time I change the oil in my Ford but I really hate the old school, spin on cannister filters. Every vehicle should have a drop in cartridge filter now a days.

I hate the drop in filters, the housing is just as much a pain to open, and its all mucky. Get a flexible filter wrench and you won't have a problem with the spin-ons.
