If that's really Bieksa, what a goof.

Bob McKenzie ‏@TSNBobMcKenzie
Specifically, the one that might draw some attention is winger Kevin Westgarth starting at centre to take opening faceoff.

Bob McKenzie ‏@TSNBobMcKenzie
IF CGY runs afoul of NHL tonite, it'll be on Hartley and his game-opening "player selection," same as BUF's Ron Rolston vs TOR in preseason.

Also Torts and Hartley have a history

Atlanta's Bob Hartley was seen going into Tortorella's office after the game, but the Tampa Bay coach wouldn't say what they discussed.

"None of your business," Tortorella said before storming away to the team bus.

Not sure if opening lines have to be on a game sheet or not and whether they can be changed once completed, but the home team has the last change.

Yup, and that is why I think the Flames/Hartley gets a fine. Westgarth trying to instigate against a Canuck who had already tucked his tail and was in the process of finding a place to hide doesn't help either.

All Bieksa had to do was just grab on and he would have been part of the primary fight and would have continued playing. Instead he fled the scene and made a beeline for the smallest opponent on the ice.

Tortorella should be suspended for being an ass.

Hartley should be fined for starting the lineup he did.

So should Tortorella, but what if he starts the Sedins and the Flames start whaling on them anyway? Then he would have gotten criticized for letting his stars be vulnerable.

Damned if he does and damned if he doesn't.

But still, what a clown.

PJ Stock is livid still post game. Physically livid. Annoyed at Tortorella for putting the rookie in that situation more than anything.

I'd say it's equal to how mad he is at Elliotte Friedman

Westguard and McGrattan is the regular fourth line. Jones Smid and Butler haven't fought this year IIRC. The Flames get any blowback from this would be junk.

What is the big deal about Westgarth starting at center? Jones a legit center was on the ice. If anything, Westgarth at center makes it less likely he's fighting off the whistle.

Smid had fought, but I agree. Westgarth may get a suspension, but what I don't get is why Bieksa was tough enough to step into the face-off circle but then stands there like a pu$$y?

Bieksa is the biggest coward in the NHL. We should sign Tom one career win Kostopoulis to punch him out again.

A little ex-teammate knowledge? Classless as usual though from Burrows.

From a former teammate who probably drank with him? And that's the only comeback Burrows has?

Well, except for the part where his gloves were practically off before the puck hit the ice. Putting Westgarth at C is exactly why Hartley's probably going to be $25k poorer on Monday.

Why can't Hartley start whatever line he wants?

Should he get fined whenever he puts those guys on the ice then?
