Drake realeased a boring, passive-agressive diss track when he didn't even have to, and of course the Internet puts it on par with Hit Em Up, Ether and No Vaseline. Smh. He dissed Meek Mill...MEEK FRICKEN MILL! Of course he's gonna body him. The dude is weak.
The track isn't bad...it's really laid back for a diss record but he got a couple good bars. Comparing it to any actual diss track like some of the ones mentioned above is ridiculous though. Typical online overreaction.
I wouldn't count Meek out too fast. I think he will come back with some heat. He was heavy in the battle circuits in Philly when he was coming up so it's not like he's never had to diss anyone before, plus he's got the super animated flow and delivery.
Pretty decent stuff. I checked for Lupe around the "Food and Liquor" era and some of his earlier mixtapes but he kind of fell off my radar since then. I might have to check him out again.
I'm probably late on this but anyone checking for Oddisee? I'd heard his name before over the years but never checked his music out. Got around to hearing his latest album "The Good Fight" and it's pretty dope. I would definitely recommend it.
Dre is actually coming out with a new album. Holy crap. Now all we need is a new Outkast album and Jay Electronica's album and this will really be one of the best years we've had in hip hop in a long time.

Well Detox was pretty much the Chinese Democracy of rap, so rather than release an almost certainly underwhelming album that people would complain about because of how long it took to come out, Dre sort of flips the script here. I do think it's kinda ridiculous though that Dr. Dre albums are called Dr. Dre albums seeing as they feature other people rapping 70%+ of the album.

I realize this somehow hasn't been posted yet. This is the best use of 6 minutes in your day. This is the result of Action Bronson throwing shade (as the kids say) on Ghostface. So good.
I thought the Dre album was good I was a little disappointed that there wasn't 1 song that would stick in my head and be around for years to come like Still Dre and Forgot About Dre were on the Chronic 2001

I started listening to it this morning on the drive to work. I like it but I need to hear it all the way through. As far as notable songs I really like Animals so far. That has the potential to stay in my head. I love that Dre and Primo finally got to collaborate on a track.
I quite enjoy it. Much like 2001 and Chronic, it's good start to finish.
I agree though, nothing that's sticking out huge though like 2001 (Still Dre, Forgot about Dre). That being said, it seems more like an LP, much like Daft Punk's last album. The sum of it's parts is what makes this album really good. This is just my opinion, but I don't think Dre wanted a massive 'hit' out of this based on what I'm hearing so far. Don't get me wrong, I love this album though. It'll be playing on repeat for the rest of the day and weekend for me probably.
I'm loving the collabs, and so far a couple songs that are sticking out are Issues, Deep Water, and Medicine Man (At least to me).
