Joe Smith gets tagged for a couple. 6-5 now in the 8th. Don't blow this for Liriano.

What a weird season so far.
We have one more win than the Indians. An identical record as the Cubs.
32-33 and still just 1.5 games out of the 2nd wild card.
We'd be in 2nd place in 3 divisions right now and a half a game out of 2nd in the AL west. NL west and AL east are the only divisions where we'd have a bunch of teams to climb over.

AL East will always be the best division in baseball. It really sucks for the Jays.

The Red Sox and Yankees are both back in form and likely will be for several years.
Thank goodness for the 2nd wild card so there is at least a chance to get into a one game show down.

Some is definitely jealousy, but can't say I don't disagree with some of the points. I've been going for going on ten years now, and it's getting a little out of control. Most people are great, but seems to be that more and more people turning up making this a big drunk at what is generally a family event. The Saturday night game was pretty bad. Kind of like what happened at McMahon Stadium when the Riders started hosting that party at Foothills Stadium.
Now I'm no angel, and spent the weekend boozing so i'm kind of the pot calling the Kettle black, but I'm pretty careful not to poke the bear in their own den and keep the big time partying until I hit Capitol Hill after the game. We are essentially guests in someone else's stadium. There's no need to be yelling in people's face that "This is our stadium this weekend", and yelling Trump insults at people who live in an area that is 99.99% against the Republican Party.
Not sure why people feel the need to do that, than I remembered that most other parts of the year these people are Canucks fans.

Just catching up and read this but if that crap is happening it's fairly disappointing. The US is going through some tough times, but it would be good if Canadians could, you know, be Canadian and that means being humble. Not arrogant, annoying, cocky dbags while you're in somebody else's country. That used to be the way of Americans but sadly it's becoming more the norm for Canadians instead, and it is an absolutely revolting quality and extremely unbecoming- Canuck fan or not.

Yup. The writing was on the wall about the Sox and Yankees last year. It was imperative we did not give them a ten game lead out the gate again because making that up would be next to impossible this year.

It definitely happened. The article I posted was a little over the top, but it wasn't far from the truth. The amount of ######s coming from the lower mainland to party with their brahs is a little out of control.
Still tons of great Jays fans and overall a great weekend, but it's a little embarrassing the way some people are acting the last couple years and it seems to be getting worse.

The Jays winning and making the playoffs again has probably brought a lot of bandwagon canuck fans out of the woodwork. Probably why it's gotten worse down there in just the last couple seasons.
Sounds a lot like canuck fans at the dome when they had a good team for a few years.

Rays, Orioles and Red Sox all lose today.
Can't ask for much more than that on an off day.

Apparently Bo Bichette went 7/8 today and raised his average to .400 in A ball for the year. Kid is 19 years old.
Looks like a real gem. Working his way into the conversation for top prospect in all of baseball.
