And Clayton Keller and Kieffer Bellows are coming in to boost the offence.
Perennial contenders.

Thanks a whole lot Commandant. Lots of useful, insightful pieces.
I have a question for you. How far down the rabbit hole are you planning on going? Are we going to see the likes of Tage Thompson, Brett Murray, Ty Ronning, etc etc? Or are we going to mostly see the top 30 or so?

Brown and Rubstov are interesting guys. Both have a longer road to the NHL I think but they have the talent.

Same as last year, about 75 full reports like the ones I've done so far.
Then 25 or so shorter reports to cap it off.
At approx one a day, (more or less, if i get some extra time i'll do a 2 for 1 days, and some days I don't do a profile at all but rather a mock draft or mem cup preview or other features), that takes us pretty much to draft day. I've been doing it for 4 years now, and 75 full reports + some extras to get to 100 seems to be my limit.
I like to start end of march/early april or I'm starting too soon and I don't get a chance to factor in CHL playoffs, Under 18, etc...

Well I'd be shocked if we took him top 7, really shocked. With him not be able to play in the U18s he might be available in the late first. Hopefully we get the DAL pick because that combined with a 2nd or two might let us trade into the late teens and grab a pretty intriguing guy who falls like a Jones, Gauthier, Rubtsov, Stanley, etc.
One can dream!

Being "shocking" doesn't make it the "wrong" decision.

Agreed. He could be one of the best picks in the draft, you can't rule it out. I don't think it's realistic we'd take him top 7. But he's one of a few guys I'd be really happy to get later on in 1st

Well in these U18s I've been a lot more impressed with Howden than Laberge. Howden looks like a top two line centre with creativity, playmaking, speed and size. Laberge has only shown the occasional flash to me.
