But the competition is awful. If the kid is actually 11 he is playing against the equivalent of mid tier 8 year olds here. There are a lot of 11 year olds that would look pretty darn amazing in that circumstance. And conversely, a lot of 11 year old d men and goalies who would not bite on any of that.
So how good is he really? I have no idea. He's little mark jankowski
Best part is he's not selfish. He's setting up his teammates for goals in a lot of those plays.
Great skill level.

This kid is exactly why the NHL would be long-term dumb not to go to the Olympics in Korea. Japan, Korea, and North China get cold and they are full of people who can afford to play hockey. As the NBA learned with Yao Ming and Jeremy Lin, all you need is one.
There is a huge potential market in that part of the world and it would be short-sighted of the NHL to miss the best opportunity to showcase the sport to the region.

Maybe he's not playing against the best competition, but I'm not sure how many kids his age have those kind of moves even when they're the only one on the ice.
Contact starts around 12-13. I had 2 concussions by 16 years old, kid is talented hopefully he gets to keep playing and doesn't get bulldozed by a 180 pounder that matured way earlier than him.
