One thing that's evident in this game is that the Devils are pretty bad.

But I'm sure Cammy destroys us tomorrow anyway.

Empty net with 3:18 left. The question is, did Eakins pull him, or did Fasth just say "screw it"?

Oilers audio guy better be ready to crank the music as soon as the final whistle goes.

... or are the fans too apathetic to boo at this point?

I still think we should have a poll to see which one of the "first rounders club" is the first to demand a trade.

Hall skates like he's crouching down to take a ####.

Didn't Yakupov's agents already kind of do that last year?

If not him, then for his own sake, it should be Draisaitl.

You're right, I completely forgot about Yakupov.

I still think Hall is going to pull a hissy fit one of these days though.

We'll bottom of barrel has been reached by Sportsnet:

See that Edmonton weather, what a nice night, you just felt we were going to win this one.

When the sports channel turns into weather network you know your team is a dumpster fire.

And some of those fans are going to trudge into Northlands in less than 24h from now to watch that pathetic excuse for a team play again, against a team superior to NJ.

20 games into the season and the Oilers now have two 5-game losing streaks and one 4-game skid.

Now, they play 10 straight against the West. Which will come first, a win against the West, or Eakins getting fired?

Eakins won't be fired until there's some "big" (at least according tor Lowe) name available, or that they've got on the hook. And likely the Oilers PR machine will pump said big name up for a week or so in the press, and then pull the trigger.

Lets be honest, they may not hint at it publicly, but they're obviously tanking for McDavid. Eakins is going nowhere. He's this year's Sacco.

Remenda just said that Pouliot was starting to find his stride?

Wha???

It is astounding that the Oil have TWO 5-game losing streaks already this season. Why is nobody getting fired yet? Where are the bold moves? Does anyone in management care?

I honestly believe this has to be true... Management doesn't want to try and do anything that might spark the team into winning a few games cause they won't make the playoffs anyways. They want McDavid and they're going for it.
