subway tunnels for spider man are all about speed and angle, and stretchy webs.
He shoots very elastic webs forward and only a couple of degrees upwards. Loads it like a spring, and the forward speed generated keeps him off the ground. It's very different from the stiff webs used when jumping from a sky scrapper, that allows him to use gravity as is primary propellant.
comic books are all about physics.

If Bruce doesn't end up with a chainsaw hand dropping groovy one liners, I'm out.

This actually looks pretty good. They seem to have captured the spirit of the original Matrix, and what made it so good. Something the two sequels never figured out.

I think a lot of people expected a cheap/forced sequel. Or let their fear of that consume them.
Looks like they put actual thought into extending the story and are pulling out the stops on visuals, action and fighting again.
I actually really love the idea that some characters are getting resurrected with new looks/skins. It kind of makes sense in the world of the matrix and looks like it works within the context of the plot.
You love to see it.

Also worth noting, the orchestral version of RATM's "Wake Up" is the trailer soundtrack. A lot of love and detail put into the trailer.

Are they contractually obligated to stick with RATM?

Wake up was the last song they played at the end of the first movie. Maybe they are suggesting the last two movies didn't happen...I can dream right.

Yea I really hope you don't need to watch the entire original trilogy to understand the new Matrix. My wife never saw any of them so we watched the first one last year and she really enjoyed it, but I have no desire to subject her to the sequels

I'm a rare breed, I guess. I liked all 3 Matrix films.
