This thread will allow Flames fans to vent their frustrations about the team. It can be anything (doesn’t have to be about the team right now). It is not exclusive to just team rants, it can be about the organization as well.

####ing 30+ years of ####ing mediocrity. Never good enough to win the cup, never bad enough to get a #1 pick and potential franchise player to greatly improve the team. Just year after year after year of average, mediocre, play. And one finals run 20 years ago just doesn't cut it!

Except for: Original 16 is a garbage beer and it is awful that it is now the happy hour beer. Terrible. Terrible. Terrible.

Also: The Saddledome music is also way too damn loud on random nights.

Wow. The Cup run was almost 20 years ago….that stings. Wow. Hard to believe how little has been accomplished since then. We are the definition of the mushy middle.

Personally, I'm not frustrated. We all expected a worse regular season record with a better post season performance. Right now a lot of things are going wrong: there's a lack of chemistry, below average goaltending, and a terrible OT record. However, we're still in the playoff picture.

That said, I get where all the frustrations are coming from and vent away.

Being a Flames Fan is basically choosing "beggars can't be choosers" as a life motto. I take what happiness I can get and try to balance it with the ongoing crushing disappointment.

I just want more youth in the line-up. We’re the only team that hasn’t graduated any of our picks from 2019 onward. I’m tired of seeing Lucic in the top 6. Yeah he’s been getting some points but we’re not going far if he’s the opposite winger on a line with Huberdeau and Kadri. I don’t know what else Phillips and Pelletier have to do to get legit NHL chances. Grow several inches and lbs? It’s frustrating and worrying. What if Wolf gets wasted away in the minors? I’m genuinely starting to get scared that Coronato is gonna pull a Fox on us

Friedman & Marek talking about this too on their podcast the other day.

Its becoming a thing. Media starting to talk about lack of opportunity in Calgary and the Fox/Harvard connection with Coronato.

Some will scoff, but its out there now.

Things are going to be bad for this organization for the next 7-9 years, but realistically, we shouldn't expect things to change until ownership does. It is unbelievably frustrating when it was very obvious how this would end up in the off-season, and the team went all in anyway.

The Flames used to be part of my persona, but I find myself caring less and less. Not upset after losses. Not excited by the odd win. And to be honest, my life is better for it. The Flames organization has no desire to win, so why should I care?

I find myself spending less and less on the team. No jerseys. No tickets. The only thing I'm paying for now is cable to watch them. And even that feels like a chore and an overpayment.
