One of the most predictable, boring series in playoff history. I think the NHL needs to copy the NBA's play-in format to increase excitement. Having the Pens of Devils would have made for a better matchup than the lowly Capitals.

What a stupid psychopath Tom Wilson is.

Adam Fox draws a penalty because as he goes around a Caps defender, he gets a leg/knee stuck out that almost causes an injury (I've got no love for Fox, but it was a perfectly legit call, especially on such a dangerous play).

The Rangers end up scoring on the PP, and as Fox goes in to celebrate with his teammates, Wilson grabs him and starts trying to ragdoll him, to which the Rangers quickly respond. Wilson gets the only penalty, on what I can only describe as a petty, selfish, overly emotional reaction to what happened. That's being generous. The other interpretation is that he's just a ####ing psychopath that wants to hurt everything and everyone around him.

Kick him out of the league already.

Let's be honest here, the only reason Washington made the playoffs is because the Flyers pulled their goalie at the end of their last game. They are one of the worst playoff teams in recent memory. They are third last in goal differential in the East!

Okay, and the 81 games before that they were every bit as good as any other eastern bubble team.

I like the idea of using pure W/L for getting into the playoffs but I doubt the league does. They'd love it if they were all 3 point games.
