Wow its like the end of exclusivity to drive people into a specific ecosystem. Microsoft's big announcement should be tomorrow as well. Locking people into your store/ecosystem is good but if you publish and make profits from a title everywhere, that's also good.
I'd read Midnight Suns bore little resemblance to XCOM, but thought I'd give it a whirl anyway.
So far it's about 80% dialogue, 15% maintaining and upgrading my abilities, and 5% gameplay. Is this what playing card games like Magic the Gathering is like? Jesus.

Just started playing AC: Unity again, it's so weird how for the most part, it (2014 release) looks visually better than AC Origins (2017), Odyssey (2018) and Mirage (2023). The way Arno climbs up and down buildings is the best it's ever been in the series too.
Given the (deserved) fallout from the glitchy release and Ubisoft basically rebuilding the series from the ground up in response, I truly believe AC games would look entirely different today if they just delayed the Unity release 6 months to iron out all the bugs. It's so much better than how it's been remembered by the gaming world. Better attention to detail with structures too, for the eco-tourism angle.
