It's a poorly-written rule that didn't matter until they started making it something that could overturn a goal well after the fact.
Appreciate the info. They really need to rethink the offiside rule and/or the challenge itself. That changed the game completely. I hope the Preds can give back here.

Well, Nashville could make a game of this.

I have to say too, switching back and forth between CBC and NBC, the CBC broadcast feels dull and commentary uninterested.

It's not even fun anymore. Stanley Cup Finals and this die hard hockey fan has turned off the TV.
I agree completely. As a hockey fan I was enjoying the game until the horrible officiating. I don't want to even watch anymore.

1). The nhl better show conclusive evidence that the first goal should have been disallowed as I haven't seen it. The on ice call should have counted unless they have video clearly showing he was offside.

2). Calling two weak cross checks on the same player is pretty ridiculous but I guess is ok if you consistently call the game tight...

3). The very next obvious penalty is missed somehow by the refs and directly leads to a goal.

Garry Bettman was defending the video review process and saying it was working as intended and it was most important to get the calls right. I don't see how they got anything right with the three points above.

If nothing else I just became a Predator fan for this series.

Nashville carrying the play a bit now. I'll credit them, they move the puck extremely well.

Does Pittsburgh plan on getting any shots on net this period?

Apparently not. Dominating period by Nashville I guess. Shame they couldn't get another.

It is pretty unbelievable that the Penguins can go a whole period without getting any shots on net.

I haven't watched too many Pens games this year, but that Sheary goal was nice. Very smart player.

####ing Ron MacLean, never misses a chance to somehow sneak his beloved Oilers into the conversation but there he is talking about Mickey Renault but any mention that he was a Flames draft pick? Of course not!! MacLean has really pissed me off throughout these playoffs. Guess I never pegged him as such an Oiler fan boy.
