Default May 13, game one of the Eastern Conference Final.

Here we go with the eastern series. The Senators in their previous opening third round series games have won both of them.

The commentators are Hughson and Simpson for the CBC and NBC will have Emrick, Olcyzk, and McGuire.

The Senators just killed a lengthy 5-on-3.

I'd like to be able to root for Ottawa, but Burrows makes that impossible. He deserves nothing but enduring disappointment for the rest of his career.

Sure nice to hear commentary that doesn't include Simpson whining for and against penalties like he did in the last series.

That's in before the whistle, but "intent to blow" and all that.

What exactly is "In the process of blowing the whistle?"

It means that from the official's perspective, he was convinced that Fleury had frozen the puck, and blew the whistle to stop the play because of it. The whistle sounded less than a second after the puck crossed the line.

I don't really have a problem with this call.

How is it different than a missed offside that is reversed on replay?

Those plays are infinitely closer than this.

It makes me irrationally angry when Jim Hughson uses names for players nobody else says, or goes by nicknames.

"Sid Crosby", "RNH", "Laddy Smid"

Why?
