I love how Japanese words get blocked out a lot because of the swearing filter

Sportsnet runs their Hometown Hockey promo on tv and radio, and one of the voices says it. Kind of grating when you hear it multiple times a day.

Haha, that rivals Blink 0-82 if you change it to: Six Picks None the Richer

Gets the same point across but keeps it closer to the actual name.

You know it stings when you're logging onto a rival fan site the day after seeking to feel better about yourself. lol

Nah, I feel great about the season the Oilers just had. I thought they'd miss the playoffs.

This thread seemed bizarre from day one though, so I saved it.

I mean if you watched Mcdavid at all in his rookie season you could see he was a great hockey player and making him captain wouldn't be a bad move.

Well he's exceptional at tapping people on the shoulder and whispering motivational statements after the games over like "Lets go"

Too bad during the Anaheim series when they needed a little bit more he was more like

McDavid's a great player, but I wouldn't say he showed up as a great captain in these playoffs.

Karlsson, Crosby and Getzlaf all showed up as captains. I can't speak much to Fisher as I haven't watched any Nashville games, but the the other three all played big roles in leading their teams and all of their teams are in the conference finals... Fair to say none of their teams would have advanced without them, which is a testament to their leadership and contribution. McDavid's clearly not at that level. He didn't contribute enough and his team didn't advance.

Draisaitl is the leader on that team, not mcdavid. Draisaitl was the one stepping up in big games, and his post game comments vs mcdavids speak loudly.

I am not a mac David fanboy, but I think comparing him to guys such as the three below at this, point in his career is not a fair comparasion. Crosby has played a lot of meaningful games as a pro, same with Getzlaf.

I am sure macdavid learned something about himself and how to be a pro over the last six weeks.

Feel so great about it the first thing you do the next day is come back here seeking validation?

I guess that's what a decade of some of the most inept failure in all of sports will do to you.

They blew a 2-0 series lead heading home. Slice it any way you want. That's terrible. The only thing worse would be a 3-0 lead. They had to win 2 of 5 games, with 3 being on home ice & they choked big time.

Kesler goalie interference in Game 5?... last time I checked if a dman with a functioning brain boxes out a forward wh

o is smaller & lighter from his goalie instead of pounding him into the crease. But that's the stuff Nursey Nurse could've should've would've learned in the AHL.

But no worries leave that to waiver wire concrete shoes Griffin Reinhart to master.
