Montreal - NYCFC at 3pm today should be fun, Pirlo, Lampard, Drogba etc...
Whaaaat? In what minutes were the reds given?

That's hilarious.

San jose went down to 9 men early in the 2nd half with the score at 1-1. They got the winner with 15 minutes left

^And they redeemed themselves with a 4-1 win this weekend. Thank god.

Canadian Men's National Team member Tossaint Ricketts made his TFC debut and looked good. Generated lots of chances and couldn't finish. The Ricketts we all know and love. I'm really glad he has a team to get ready for the September qualifiers. Hopefully he earns a lot of minutes and comes in sharp.

Altidore returned as well and looked great. Now just to get Bradley and Johnson back.

Giovinco had a hat-trick after going 8 games without scoring.

With all the injuries and Copa America absences, it's a testament to improved depth and coaching that the team is still in it at all.

Well, that and a super weak Eastern Conference

I agree that TFC has some serious depth this year.

Although I question if Altidore is capable of ever staying healthy.

Caught some of thr Seattle Dallas game last night duting intermissions. Seattle has really turned their season around and put 3 in on Dallas, who won the Supporter's Shield. And for some reason Akindele puts 'Tesho' on his jersey now.
Also, since this board loves all things Toronto I fully expect to start seeing TFC avatars popping up.

Montreal just got an away goal with 40 mins to go. NYRB need to score 3 goals or we'll have a Canadian team in the semis for the first time.

Hope they can hang on and TFC can pull it out today... would love to see an all Canadian matchup with a Canadian team guaranteed in the finals.

Joke that Villa is playing though.

Montreal through... TFC picks up an away goal and NY needs 4 unanswered goals to advance... wow. Could be a red letter day for Canadian club soccer. TFC needs to hold steady but that would be a real festival of soccer in Canada to have a home and away all Canadian semi-final.

Montreal confirms their home leg will be at the big O... think it's going to be fun barring a major 5 goal implosion!

Seattle going through likely, though not the most convincing game by them.

So if TFC makes it through to MLS cup, it will be in Toronto or Denver. Following this team through years of suck, I'm going to start finding ways to justify going.

Hopefully the field holds up ok after Grey Cup for the next leg, and everyone comes back from international duty unscathed.

And people laughed at the cfl last weekend. This is far and away the most bush league thing I've seen in a long, long time in a major North American an professional sport.

I swear the Olympic Stadium is just cursed. However, I'm incredulous that this could actually happen

holy crow I can't believe Montreal doesn't even have one card, some of those tackles were pretty cynical, they are really coming out hacking. Amazing countering though. And geez does that surface look terrible, reminds me of playing indoor soccer on a first gen surface in the 90s.

It is pretty sad Olympic Stadium is still Canada's biggest stadium. But they are loud right now.

Toronto coming back.

Laser pointer, horrible pitch, aging brutalist stadium. This is almost third world conditions.
