I too don't even want a nomination for selfish reasons

A finalist alone would increase his salary probably by about 500k and if he wins it gets him another million AAV on his next contract. He can win all the Selke's he wants after inking a 4.5Mx5year contract

Should Backlund be in the conversation? Maybe. Will he be? No.

I could see him getting a few votes and coming in top 20. No Flame will get serious consideration for individual hardware until they win something. (as it should be)

Exactly my point lol. Awards don't change the player he is but the exposure could effect his salary. The only trophy I want any flame to win right now is the big silver cup.
