I'm just disappointed we didn't get Cavemen vs Astronauts II.

What a circus of a show. Mayweather gets his 50-0 and mcgregor his payday.

More than likely mayweather will have fighters from his stable on the undercard for exposure so dont expect the undercard to make up for the one sided main event.

GGG is great but he's been ducked so much he's never been in a truly big fight. GGG should bring in the fairweather fan of course, he (and Canelo) are stalking fighters with tremendous power and they go for the finish all the time. Really the guy who should be the next superstar is Lomachenko, he is insane and could end up top ten all-time or even top five. He was the only thing worth watching on the Manny-Floyd card.

Boxing should be like WWE back in the day, have four major events a year, charge $80 but have three top quality fights. Could easily do 2 million PPVs with good matchups, so everyone who fights makes eight figures. But too many promoters, too many belts, too many guys afraid to fight the best. It's pretty much horse racing now, most people don't care outside the major events, but it still makes more money than you'd think.
The way Lomachenko boxes is just insane to watch. He makes professionals look like it's their first time in the ring with his timing, footwork and feints.

Man, I wish after their boxing match, they'd have a rematch with MMA rules... Never gonna happen but what a rematch that would be

An MMA match would be over in about 15-30 seconds unless McGregor felt like toying with Floyd for a bit first.

Don't kid yourself. Despite Mayweather being defence first, if he really wants he could end the boxing match in 30 seconds. But being the showboat he is, he'll likely prolong it for a bit to give people a sense of worth for their money.

The Floyd of 7-8 years ago could finish Conor anytime he wants, but he's had several hand injuries and doesn't have the power he once had. That said Conor has a propensity for getting gassed in the UFC, so after four or five rounds of chasing Floyd around and mostly punching at air, can't see him having much left at that point, which might allow Floyd to knock him out.

Kid myself about what? Conor would destroy Floyd in an MMA match.

I meant that the opposite to what you wrote is also true.

Is this the only boxing thread? Manny Pacquiao was just upset by Jeff Horn in a 12 round decision for the WBO welterweight title.

I'd heard rumors if Pacquiao won this and Mayweather beat McGregor they would have a rematch but that's probably not happening now.

I'm not sure I'd call one of the worst decisions in recent history an upset though. Manny has now lost two of the worst decisions ever, and Australia will of course never be getting another major fight again after that travesty. That 117-111 card for Horn in particular should be investigated.

I didn't watch the fight but from what I've read it certainly seems something wasn't right with the judges. Boxing will be boxing.

I think there is a rematch clause for manny that should be exercised.

It was a close fight for sure but manny definitely seemed to be in control in the latter half. Other than a few solid connects from Horn, he didnt do enough in my eyes to win the fight let alone earn a 117-110 card.

I dont know if Mayweather was on the table but even a Crawford-Pacquiao would have been interesting and made more sense for Arum. If Pacquiao wins, his legend grows if not Arum has a new cash cow.

After making over $700mil in his career Lack of Money Mayweather can't pay his taxes. What a jackass. I guess his sports betting is wrecking him. Hope none of you are wasting money on this sham of a fight.

The only reason to pay attention to this monstrosity will be the next four days as the press tour begins in LA before finishing in London. Fight is also going to cost the same as the Manny fight, $100 for HD (side note; why are they still up charging for HD in ####ing 2017?)

This presser is hilarious.

Mayweather is mad dogging like crazy. His trashtalk is terrible. While McGregor may not win the fight, he's going to win the pre-fight trash talk.
