Not necessarily reflecting the whole league/broader market, but prices have seemed low so far this year. And hugely relevant in that the flames are also shopping two players with a lot of control over where they go and trying to extract value from GMs who know they don't have a lot of leverage.

Tarasenko had a full no move, if he only wanted to go to Florida then it makes sense why Ottawa didn't get more.

I think the key thing to keep in mind here, is this is purely 100% a rental. Player had a no-move and Florida was the only destination, so return isn't going to be great in a situation like this.
Not sure what to call this... the Florida Reverse-Tax?

I don’t know if it’s a rental. Tarasenko lives in Florida and specifically wanted to go to Florida. I would be surprised if he doesn’t sign there for cheap.
