I suspect Rittich ends up in the Vegas organization one way or another

If there is a CHL team willing to take Schneider as an overager you send him back to junior IMO.

He still needs seasoning before going full time pro, preferably win and hold the starter's job for a full season.

Schneider had the starters job last season, and it was much weaker Tigers team he back stopped.

I saw a few games and he looked great. Kept a crappy team in a lot of games.

This year when I've seen him he's been pretty bad. As evidenced by the Tigers going out and trading for a goalie to take his spot. Not sure what's up with him, it's almost like he's just going through the motions waiting to turn pro, which if true is disappointing because with this years Tigers he's got a real shot at winning.

Maybe he's lost his motivation because he already has a pro contract and will get 3 years of pro to show what he's made of, pretty much no matter what.

No, we signed him because he is a ****ing amazing goalie, and one of the smoothest-moving goalies I have seen.

Ideally, the club is probably wanting next season to look something like:

AHL
Gilles
Parsons

ECHL
McDonald
Schneider

So either Rittich graduates, or we cut him loose.
My thoughts exactly - he is having the season Gillies was supposed to have. Not saying he is a better prospect by any means but If there was any intentions in keeping him around he's done everything in his power to make that happen. I sure hope they figure out a way to keep him.

We won't have 2 goalies in the ECHL, Schneider will be an overager. Flames could also loan goalies to other AHL clubs.

per AHL transactions, the Flames have assigned McCollum to the AHL Charlotte Checkers. he will be unable to join Stockton for the rest of the season.

Move designed to give him some playing time, because he wasn't getting it in Stockton.

It's crazy. Last year the Flames org was riddled with goalie injuries.

7 goalies had at least one start with the Heat, and 4 goalies started for the Flames.

This year only Elliot and Johnson have started for Calgary, and just Rittich and Gillies for the Heat with McCollum getting just one single start and not out of necessity either.

Jankowski keeps impressing. I'm pretty stoked with our young centre ice depth with Monahan, Backlund, Bennett and Jankowski. I've noticed they all seem to be getting better in the FO dot too which is promising. We need to start restocking the cupboards as I expect Janko in the NHL next year.

Spoon from Shinkaruk and Andersson against the flow of the play makes it 3-0 for Stockton!

Griffin "totally as good as Dougie Hamilton" Reinhart gives Jankowski a breakaway and he cashes in to make it 4-0!

let's go!

Those two goals put Jankowski at 22, 9th in the entire AHL in goals scored.

The Heat ran into some significant penalty trouble with 3 penalties against in very quick succession, but the Heat got the best chances of the 5 on 3, and Jankowski showed off some very nifty moves.

Then, Bollig convinced Puljujarvi of all people to drop the gloves but the buzzkill linesmen stepped in. No fun. Carroll then fought some plugger and got worked, but it's still 4-0 Heat going into the 3rd.

Most of the guys ahead of him and just behind him have played at least 2 more games than him, a lot as much as 5 to 8 games more, he's 5 goals behind the leader. Rookie race will be close too with Guentzel recalled and doing great in the NHL, Janko will certainly be in the conversation.

David Rittich posts his 5th shutout of the season and the Heat win 4-0.

The highlights should be the Jankowski show, he was great tonight.

Rittich continues to impress.

3rd in the AHL with 2.10 and .930.

Dang!

Highlights from tonight

I'm surprised that they didn't include Jankowski's rushes while defending the 5 on 3, they were nice to watch.

Probably J. Rechlicz? I haven't seen Devane in many score card. Didn't they bring him in for toughness? I don't see Carroll doing well against a seasoned fighter. Bollig and Devane may be.
