nothing official from the Flames yet, but the Oilers have announced a split squad game on September 18 against the Flames in Edmonton and Calgary.

Sure hope people outside Calgary can watch these online this year. Last year was the first tine I couldn't and I was unimpressed.

Pre-season is great but can we get the Vegas regular season dates asap so we can start working on turning those into defacto home games

Likely means the regular season starts either October 4 or 5.

very likely the Flames get the Canucks B squad for their games with the Canucks. Canucks A squad will be in China for their preseason games with the LA Kings.

Maybe their A squad returns in time for the game on the 28th.

Is there really a difference between A and B?

Canucks A squad is like a C. I'd hate to see what their B team looks like.

I like to see the Flames play an afternoon pre-season game. Be great for kids and families that would be able to pick up tickets on the secondary market for likely a lot cheaper than a regular season game.

Flames have to start playing their full roster earlier in the preseason. I'm tired of us always coming out of the gate sloppy.
