Yeah, Makes me feel dirty for rooting for him both seasons. Apparently the financial stuff isn't new (he's been doing dodgy business stuff for a while I read) the kiddie porn though... yuck.

That's the recommended course of action. I even end up avoiding the thread for a day or two several times throughout the season, as my work schedule means I'm going to miss some ep's while broadcast.

Well, that was certainly an interesting starting episode.

I think that the Brawn's made the wrong choice. The "mental giant"...couldn't even figure out to take the cap off the Voting Pen to start. But...maybe they figure she'll be a grateful tagalong they can dump at some point easily.

Didn't really like Debbie. Kinda reminding me of Shirin.

The ear-bug thing...great, that'll give me the heeby-jeebies. Kinda wondering why she didn't call out Medical and have them have a look. IIRC, you don't get pulled if they just look you over.

Looks like the start to a good season.

keeping a strong team isn't as important as fostering gratitude for later, especially with the voting block things.

With the ear bug thing, she's going to be a new mommy in a short period of time when those eggs in her ear hatch and chew their way to freedom through her eye balls.

So glad this show is back.

The ear bug scene was hard to watch. These conditions look brutal already.

Keeping Blondie was probably a good move for the guys, they want to be in control and having a weak tag-along for a number helps them.

Debbie reminded me Coach/Special Agent Phillip. I hope she stays long enough so we can see how delusional she really is. Anyone else notice the changing jobs beside her name throughout the episode?

That 72 year old guy is huge, he's bigger than most of the guys out there. I don't think the conditions will be a problem for him.

I like Tai a lot and hope he stays for a while. Looking for the idol was a bad move though.

Aubry came up big for the brains tribe in that challenge, definitely saved herself after that anxiety attack earlier.

It's something I've thought for a while now but the beauties on the beauty tribe are underwhelming. You could take Liz from the Brains and Blondie from the Brawn and replace any of the girls on beauty easily. None of the guys are wow either.

No kidding. I got a pretty good chuckle when the 4 brain "kids" were saying that they needed to get the "geriatrics" out. I was thinking "Um...Joe is probably more better suited to conditions out there than any of you..."

I felt that looking for it was smart. Being so obvious about it was not. Getting caught even more so. Which is a shame, cause I kinda like him so far, too.

Yea I think my favorite so far is the stats girl, she seems very level headed and will be a strong player.. also pretty easy on the eyes.

I think my most hated so far is definitely the bearded guy on brawn, he just seems like a total meat head. When he flexed and yelled THATS WHY WERE BRAWN during the challenge I literally fell off my couch laughing.

Looks like it could be an entertaining season.. but no Joe/Malcolm clone? What gives?

Man, the more I watch that show the more I realize how unsuitable I am to playing that type of game.

Personally, when Darnell was crying about how hard his life was and that girl to the left was totally trying to sell it, I would have been

"Shocker man, life is hard, but life is outside of this game, all your pointing out is that if I take you to the end, I'm likely to loose because you'll talk about how crappy your life is and everyone will give you the money.

You lost the googles and screwed us in the challenge, so pledge your allegance to Zod right now and I won't vote for you"

And bearded townie is a moron, and I would want to kill him.

And former NBA player, you had a career points average of 4 points a game and less then one rebound a game as a center and eccouraged kids to take drugs during a TV time out. You're ridiculous.

I swear I'd be in a fight in the first 10 minutes of the show. Do a mic drop in the first tribal council and be home for dinner.

Ya you would think they would get the medical team to look at her long ago and help her out. It definetely should have been edited differently, I guarantee they just lost all the casual fans that were checking out episode 1 to see if they could get into it this season.

With the cast of last season being so good I really expect some seriously dumb plays this season. For instance, there is NO WAY that they would bury the idol under a tree. There are specific plants and animals that are off limits, and they would want to limit the damage to the enviroment so they wouldnt encourage that by hiding it under a tree. If they did, people would be pulling trees out of the ground for the next 10 seasons.

See, I feel the opposite. I think Tai was on to something, he just didn't have the time to see it through. He specifically said "There are 3 dead trees in the path. I'm a gardener. I'd recognize that right away." or something to that effect. So I watched more closely the next time they showed the trees...and he was right. They looked, to me, to be very dead (withered leaves on top) and came out of the ground with barely a tug...and they were in the middle of the footpath. So I'm thinking Tai's on the right track, and just got busted before he could fully check around.

Anyone think there is a bit of a twist coming with misplaced tribe members? Blondie should be on beauty tribe, no way she has any brawn. I can't imagine what she would look like at 40 days, she'd wither away! Tai seams far more brainy than beauty. I'm not sure who from the brains tribe would go to brawn, but the doctor looks pretty strong, though he is obviously smart as well.

Jut a thought I had watching...

Yeah, I agree, I really think that the whole Brawn versus Beauty versus brains thing is a misdirection, and that they will either be allowed to trade tribes or there is going to be a quick merger.

Personally I want to see a show that's based around Moron versus Cosplay players. Or obese people versus actual real life predators or Cannibals.

I think that after last season, anything that we see this year is going to be underwhelming in terms of gamesman ship.

That was a really good episode. Really thought Alecia was going home. Jenny shot herself in the foot there.

The scenes showing Debbie's crazy, Caleb and Tai, and Alecia making fire
were all pretty great. Alecia has had a lot of funny moments so far, I was kinda glad she stayed.

This season might not have amazing gameplay but the character moments and humor
make up for it. Last season was missing that.
