I haven't really payed attention to the Heat in about a month, so apologies about the ignorance, but how has Poirier looked since he was sent back down? Same as before his promotion? Better? Worse?

Morrison with a swift defensive play to get the puck out of the crease and just off the goal line

It can't be any worse than my local Junior A team which has an Aussie doing the play by play. I guess it's okay, it's just that it sounded very odd at first.

Refs call Morrison for closing his hand on the puck. Stars Penalty Shot. Glennie takes it, but save by Thiessen

McKenzie goes down and Agostino goes to the box for elbowing.

Flames to the PK.

End of 1st Period

2-1 Flames

Shots on Goal: 15-6 Stars

Agostino and MacKenzie trying to get their gloves off to fight when the period ended but refs got in the way. Big scrum after the horn.

Adirondack has no use for Corsi just like Calgary.

...we call them the Flames now....

I don't think calling it "worse" is fair because he is still a rookie. Yes, he's had a drop off since returning from Calgary, however if you compare him any other rookie at this point of the year, I think you would find most have.

He's only had 1G and 1A in 6 games since his return, so it is far less then his normal pace. Coach Huska also had to call him out after a game for being invisible and not using his speed or smarts in a game and saying he needed to be better. I'm not sure the promotion and his play are really connected, I think it's him being a rookie and his play being more connected.

Max Reinhart is an interesting prospect at this point - do you guys think he's worth qualifying his RFA contract in the offseason??

I can't see why they wouldn't offer him a bridge contract much like Hanowski where you get a 1 year deal to prove yourself.
