Kulak gets the goal on the slap-pass from Setoguchi. Flames now trail by one. 7-6

Wolf is just a scoring chance generator. Really involved here.

In the preseason Kulak played some games with Engelland as a D partner. I thought they looked pretty good together. Kid looked good, Engelland not to bad either.

Sieloff with a solid chance to tie it. No dice yet.

Also, maybe Sieloff would be injured less as a winger as he would be playing a less physical game (someone else has to be thinking that too)

Flames miraculously tie the game 7-7 with the goalie pulled.

Hathaway gets the goal from Reinhart and Ramage (probably Wotherspoon)

Flames score 4 goals in the third period to tie a game against the Senators on a Sunday? That could never happen.

Just saw the scorecard, Elson is back? Man, that kid is tough as nails.

Did they happen to update on Cubdari at all?

3 Stars:

1. ADK - 9 Garnet Hathaway
2. BNG - 15 Cole Schneider
3. BNG - 72 Aaron Johnson

I went back and updated some of the point streaks as I had one file at work and one at home and I believe there were some errors. Some of these streaks are unbelievable.

Point Streaks and Notables:
  • Acolaste - 5G, 9A in 18GP
  • Agostino - 3G, 10A in 13GP
  • Arnold - 6G, 8A in 18GP
  • Cundari - 5G, 7A in 12GP - Injured
  • Elson - 8G, 3A in 13GP
  • Ferland - 2G in 2 GP - Recalled to Calgary
  • Granlund - 9G, 8A in 18GP
  • Hathaway - 4G, 4A in 7GP
  • Kulak - 1G, 5A in 5GP
  • McGrattan - 4A in 6 GP - On Leave
  • Potter - 5A in 8GP - Recalled to Calgary
  • Reinhart - 3G, 6A in 7GP
  • Setoguchi - 2G, 3A in 3GP
  • Wolf - 11G, 6A in 17GP

So glad to see Kulak finding his game at this level. I always found it strange that coming into the season he was pretty much Culkin + better shot + coming from a more defensive league yet it was Culkin that transitioned seemlessly.

...His stats since the callup in the last 9 games: 1 goal 6 assists and a +7

I know stats are just stats and I haven't seen how he actually played but that's pretty solid all things considered, especially with the Poirier/Shore callup, the Sven trade, the Ortio injury, etc.

...And of course it's amazing to see all the other guys do what they do... Arnold, Elson, Hathaway, Wolf. Love 'em.

Any thoughts on why Sieloff was on the wing tonight? Are they thinking he might be a better fit as a forward.... or just a numbers game of some sort?
