I agree, though I didn't see him with a drink from what I recall, I only saw him moving around the place with Moneyhands (who looked very dapper in a blazer). But, he was definitely out and about and didn't seem sick.

They've said he is back working out.

It was a pretty bad infection... you don't just get better instantly. Plus he wasn't able to work out at all for two months. It will take some time for him to get back in game shape.

I hope he can get in some games before the end of the season and come back strong in the summer/fall.

There is a story up now about his infection and recovery. Apparently he got the staph infection from an ingrown hair on his stomach: http://flames.nhl.com/club/news.htm?id=702668

From the link above:

Quote:
Sieloff has returned to Calgary, working with team staff to get his fitness level back to where it needs to be. Being held back from physical activity during his recovery has basically put him at square one and before he can even hit the ice, he needs to work on the basics. For the past few weeks he has been spending a lot of time working on hip mobility and has ramped up his cardio workouts.

"I haven't skated yet but I'm kind of taking that week-to-week," he said. "I've been getting better. I feel better since I first got here. Things have went away, pain-wise."

"It's better than I expected."
Good news

Great news! An infection to the extent that Sieloff suffered from can end a career before it gets started. Hopefully he can get back into shape and be ready for camp in the fall. The lost year of development will be tough for him, but it is a step back toward being a top prospect for us again.

I sent him a message on twitter asking if he thought he'd return this year. No reply yet but you never know.

I am so excited about this guy, it just sucks that he has missed a whole season. I hope he has a full recover and can make an impact next year either with the Heat or the Flames. I'll still be excited either way. He is going to be fun to watch develop.

“@MCaddd: According to Ward, Sieloff has been training/living in Vancouver. He's checked into Abby at times. Unsure whether he'll play this season.”

I bet he lives near Burrows and makes a point to make eye contact with him everyday as Burrows leaves his house.

Nothing recently that I have heard. It is very possible he might not play until the summer (rookie camp).

cause he plans to make you forget the last guy who wore 12

(in all seriousness it was a draft jersey, all players drafted in 2012 wore #12)

Not likely to play a game this season. He'll likely have to practice and work out to get back into game shape. That'll take quite a while.
