No, unforutnately. I had thought about bringing TNT with me, but decided against it last minute.

If you carry a flint with you, set yourself on fire!

Use an inventory editor and give yourself something to blow yourself up with.

I do have flint and steel, and I tried to set myself on fire. Didn't work. I can't set my tile on fire for some reason.

Try a neighboring tile, I think standing next to fire has a chance of setting you on fire as well.

Failing that, the inventory editor.

Or just put it in hard mode, wait for night and a creeper.

I figured out a solution. I used NBTedit to get me out of that cave system. I just entered my spawn point as my current position and now I'm good again. That was brutal lol

Broke down and bought the game today. The game doesn't have any of the issues the classic version had on any of our computers, so that is a good thing.

Mrs. Rathji saw it and was like, can I play too? So now we have a little house right beside the spawn point on my server for my daughter and wife to play around with, and they can't mess up my stuff.

Just means I need to find a new place to play that they can't find.

Build a house under water.

haha, I just might do that.

For now, I just moved a couple continents over and build a single wide land bridge across so I don't need to swim.

This game is crazy addictive though...

This game is another reason should stay away from Calgary Puck. I got intrigued by this game here. Every other time I read about it, I though, "Pffft. What's the point?"

I tried it. I now know the point. It is glorious. It cannot be put into words.

I have a love/hate relationship with this game. I love to tinker for hours on end. I hate how the hours on end I want to tinker come to an end.

Sleep and work? I wonder if there's a way I can eliminate both of those... Maybe I can find a solution under that mountain there...

This is the way I see it. You survived some sort of post apocalypic world that wiped out all human civilization. you are left with nothing but the natural resources you can find. You are also filled with knowledge of building only limited amounts of tools and structures.

By day, you are free to roam around the world. By night, zombies, skeletons, and various evil creatures greet you.

You are legend.

See, I kind of disagree with you.

To me, the game is about the human condition. You are alone in an unfriendly, hostile universe. You try to make your way, digging and building. You try to build your own empire, but the empire is just for you. Nobody else can see or enjoy it. But no matter how hard you try, no matter how hard you build, in the end it's all for naught. Because eventually some f***ing creeper will sneak up on you and blow it all to hell anyways.

It's a very existential game.

Both of those explanations are way too deep.

It's just a digital sandbox. :P

Yeah, honestly, just try it. In all seriousness, it's a very fun and creative little game. I do think it proves the point that an "ending" isn't necessarily needed.

Sometimes, just playing around can be a lot of fun!

I just returned from the nether. All I can say is I'm very lucky to escape with my life. I don't think I'll be going back there anytime soon. I also didn't think a game would scare the hell out of me.

Yeah, the nether...shudder...

You'd never think that a game that looks like it has Atari-level graphics and is mostly about mining would be so scary at times. When I'm creeping forward in some cave trying to plant a torch to see what's ahead of me, and an arrow comes flying at me, I physically jump more than I ever did at Doom 3's many "surprises."
