I hate everything about that stinking franchise. One good thing about moving to Stockton is that they won't have to play against UTI (Urinary Tract Infection) so often.

They really can't. That 2nd period might be the best hockey they've played all season. They were absolutely dominant. They took no penalties. They played disciplined hockey. They shot everything they could at Markstrom and got men in front.

This loss hurts. A lot.

From what I heard, the Canucks have lost interest in moving their affiliate West and closer to Vancouver.

Also sounds like the Eastern teams will make a trip to the Pacific division once every 2 or 3 years.

3 more.

One more at the end of the month, then twice in April near the end of the season.

So...Utica Comets voodoo doll group buy?

Think we might have to look at alternative options to beat them.

Can Johnny still be sent down to the minors for a game?

Yes. Him, Monahan and Jooris can all actually be sent down without waivers.

Should the NHL Flames miss the playoffs for some reason, all 3 could be sent down for the April 18th game against Utica.

Not really understanding how this Pacific division is supposed to work. They play less games than the rest of the AHL? How do playoffs work? Will they still compete for the calder cup? If they only play the eastern teams every 3 years aren't they basically playing the same 5 teams 13 or 14 times a year? If all that's correct, really don't understand how this makes sense. Must be missing something.

The details about playoffs haven't been released yet (likely because the AHL still hasn't worked it out), but yes it has been reported that the teams in the Pacific division will almost exclusively play against each other to cut down on travel time and costs and they would play less games.

I like the idea but hopefully the rest of the AHL follows suit. It would be beyond ridiculous if all the teams in the same league didn't play the same amount of games. It would be a huge advantage come playoff time for the western teams as they would be more rested.
