I also agree, that show last night was the worst one yet. I tend to think that because SNL has been terrible now for nearly 25 years that its time to state that Lorne Michaels is extremely over rated.
I might suggest you stop watching SNL, and posting in this thread.

If you don't think any of these people are funny, this show is not for you.

You have made the same post about 100 X in this thread.

Man, Beck Bennett is really growing on me these days. At first, I really didn't like him but I find myself laughing at him more and more. I can't remember what episode it was but the skit where he was the dad who keeps putting on his own demo of some song had me laughing pretty good. Him and Mooney's SoCal skit is pretty funny too.

Ok, I'll admit it, I like Ariana Grande, thought she did a great job of hosting and performing. I don't know much of her music, but she's obviously pretty talented, and doesn't take herself too seriously. She plays parts like the intern really well.

Her vocal ability seemed pretty impressive in the streaming music bit but her music is pretty terrible. Her two performances were really bland and uninspiring.

Overall, I think this was another weak show with the exception of Weekend Update. Weekend Update has been the best part of the show for a while. Che and Jost have developed a great chemistry and I really like watching them especially when they take jabs at each other. I wish they could do a 30 minute Weekend Update.

As we get closer to the election SNL will do extended Weekend Update specials.

I agree Che and Jost have really hit their stride.

I'm in the same boat - took me a while to get used to him but I think I'm starting to get his humour. Beck is great in this video. It's a bit long but worth a viewing.

Beck Bennet's biggest problem is that he collaborates with Kyle Mooney too much - because Mooney fully sucks

Kate McKinnon I think is an all-time SNL great. She makes me laugh like few on the current cast can. Super funny.

Really dislike Grande's music, but her impressions (including Jennifer Lawrence) were very good.

Space Pants was amazing. Usually that would be digital. Can't believe they did it live.

I can't believe they let this one on before weekend update...that's usually end-of-night type stuff.

Yeah that was pretty awesome.

I thought the show was going to be a disaster after the monologue and poo bear

Weekend Update was really funny...Kenan's Ortiz always cracks me up.

Dinklage did great.

Gwen Stefani isn't a great singer, but geez I can't believe she's 46.

It seems like ~November the writing went in a more creative and adult direction. Last season and the first half of this year were terrible, now it's pretty good.

One of the best episodes of the year from start to finish.

The Cold Open was a good idea to go after Trump's mouth-pieces, but could have hit harder. "We are going to make America grapes again".

Naked and Afraid was great, if you like Leslie Jones.

Glory Hole restaurant was absurd and pushing the limit.

"Look at my pants with the eyes in your face / My legs are covered in outer space!"

I laughed the most at Kate and Aidy's Danish thugs.

I just learned something - we can watch SNL clips on Global (not from US sites):

http://www.globaltv.com/saturdaynigh...v=657981507799

"You're about to eat a knife bitch, and my name is Jurgen".

naked and afraid was crazy. Pushing the limits, but goes to show what they're willing to do to entertain. Thought it was great. I probably wouldn't get naked for that if I was either one of them,
Kind of reminded how William H. Macy has gotten naked in the last few episodes of Shameless.

I honestly don't know why they keep bringing him out as that comedian character. It's not at all funny. He must be very popular behind the scenes or have a lot of pull, because it's just awful and yet this is the third or so time he's done it. When you can hear the ceiling fans going in the studio, your material is not killing. And the Pogie taped skit? What the hell? I always wonder when they are filming these terrible skits, are they thinking to themselves, "this is gonna kill," or are they fully aware it's not funny?
