He and Michael Cera or whatever his name is are the Kristen Wig/McCarty of the male gender. Completely unfunny and they play the same character in everything they do.
I also agree, that show last night was the worst one yet. I tend to think that because SNL has been terrible now for nearly 25 years that its time to state that Lorne Michaels is extremely over rated.
I might suggest you stop watching SNL, and posting in this thread.
If you don't think any of these people are funny, this show is not for you.
You have made the same post about 100 X in this thread.
Man, Beck Bennett is really growing on me these days. At first, I really didn't like him but I find myself laughing at him more and more. I can't remember what episode it was but the skit where he was the dad who keeps putting on his own demo of some song had me laughing pretty good. Him and Mooney's SoCal skit is pretty funny too.
Ok, I'll admit it, I like Ariana Grande, thought she did a great job of hosting and performing. I don't know much of her music, but she's obviously pretty talented, and doesn't take herself too seriously. She plays parts like the intern really well.

Her vocal ability seemed pretty impressive in the streaming music bit but her music is pretty terrible. Her two performances were really bland and uninspiring.
Overall, I think this was another weak show with the exception of Weekend Update. Weekend Update has been the best part of the show for a while. Che and Jost have developed a great chemistry and I really like watching them especially when they take jabs at each other. I wish they could do a 30 minute Weekend Update.

I'm in the same boat - took me a while to get used to him but I think I'm starting to get his humour. Beck is great in this video. It's a bit long but worth a viewing.
It seems like ~November the writing went in a more creative and adult direction. Last season and the first half of this year were terrible, now it's pretty good.
naked and afraid was crazy. Pushing the limits, but goes to show what they're willing to do to entertain. Thought it was great. I probably wouldn't get naked for that if I was either one of them,
Kind of reminded how William H. Macy has gotten naked in the last few episodes of Shameless.
I honestly don't know why they keep bringing him out as that comedian character. It's not at all funny. He must be very popular behind the scenes or have a lot of pull, because it's just awful and yet this is the third or so time he's done it. When you can hear the ceiling fans going in the studio, your material is not killing. And the Pogie taped skit? What the hell? I always wonder when they are filming these terrible skits, are they thinking to themselves, "this is gonna kill," or are they fully aware it's not funny?
