Default Kombucha in Calgary

Where do guys buy Kombucha in Calgary?

And is there a big difference between bottled stuff from the cooler versus 'fresh' stuff they pour into a cup from a big container?

I hadnt tried Kombucha until a recent trip. Its pretty good but I know nothing about it and havent seen it in many places in Calgary.

Well, my kid worked at Planet Organic on 130th. And he drinks that stuff.

Its revolting. I even tried pouring whiskey in it and its still awful, awful stuff. Just vile. But if you want some they sell it there.

I cant comment on variations in terms of quality for obvious and clearly biased reasons.

Scratch that I think the Sunnyside Natural Market still sells it, I bought a mojito kombucha from there a while ago. Loved it.

1) brew some regular tea
2) pour into a cup
3) put that cup in your bathroom uncovered for three weeks
4) drink the tea after that furry #### grows in it.

*Disclaimer: Don't actually do that. Don't drink kombucha either, it's basically that.*

The local health food store has a discount section for nearly expired stuff. I bought a 50% Kombucha, took a big swig and tasted the grossest thing ever. The bacterial culture grows into a scoby which is basically a giant booger. Blech.

This reminds of that episode of The Katering Show when they cut out sugar (NSFW - Language).
Scrub to 4:00 because the CP player doesn't let you set that I guess.

Actually on topic: Pretty sure my wife has gotten it at Safeway. It seems to be touch and go with availability though.

That's how my girlfriend makes it, waste of good tea.
