She (the girl apparently from Dr. Who) did nothing for me, though I expected her to be temporary so wasn't too bothered.

I was actually referring to the Dorian Gray character.

Oh yeah him, yeah I didn't like him either. I sort of like where they went with him in the episode, but the acting job was definitely sub-par, and he doesn't suit the role. Although, it also kinda seemed he was hornshoed into the show, just to fit another important literary character in. Of course that could change eventually, but that's what I would say after his first appearance.

Billie Piper, or her character, so far, has nothing important to do with the show. Her scenes were practically throw away and a waste of the viewers time. Unless the consumption is a clue, but the only thing she has accomplished so far is being the annoying Irish girl that will steal a mans whiskey.

The introduction of Dorian Gray I can forgive, because, it's Dorian Gray, and right now he is just a Playboy that can't die. That story will pick up.

I guess we know who Billie Piper is going to be... That should go over well.

Spoiler!

Loving the show.

This season has picked up where it left off and lifted it higher somehow. I will always be a fan of this genre, but the development and story are really flushing together. So fun.

I'm assuming the guy Ethan attacked with the half-mask is going to be like the Phantom of the Opera? Especially after that juxtaposition when he was spying on Ethan and the music welled up and the scene cut to Dorian and his trap at the opera.

I'm bumping this thread because the 3rd season is fantastic. The 2nd season IMO was a little on the slow side but they have really ramped up the story in the 3rd season. Definitely one of my top 5 favourite ongoing shows.

The Dorian Gray and Dr. Frankenstein storylines do nothing for me, but the Vanessa and Ethan ones are excellent (though I really didn't buy him turning to Lucifer and the lady-demon). All in all, really enjoying the season and looking forward to seeing how things turn out.

Watched the first episode of the first season based on this thread. I liked it, but man there are some dark and gruesome parts. Corpse baby stuck in my mind a little.

What a thoroughly underwhelming and disappointing conclusion to the series. Basically concluded with the message that all of the struggle and sacrifices were a waste of time.

It was such a let down. It was rushed and it lost it's path just so it could get to a conclusion. The Frankenstein and Dorian Gray ended up being a waste. What was the point of them?

Spoiler!

All in all once the show finished, and because of how it finished, it was a huge let down and it ruined a decent show.
