Be more worried about teams that are ahead.

Though I will add that I actually prefer them being a WC team. As insane as it sounds I like our chances better against the Wild and Sharks than Anaheim or Edmonton. We are a better road team than home also.
What any of the teams ahead or behind do are of zero relevance. Only Snek is relevant.

As much as we are in control of our own fate. These two points tonight could be the difference between us missing or making. The Oilers already are pretty comfortably in a playoff spot while the Preds aren't.

You don't have to cheer for the Oilers but cheering for Nashville is foolish and isn't in the Flames best interest.
Here's my longer response. Yes, Nashville losing increases our chances - according to Sportsclubstats. That's it. While I like the site, I don't think it's methodology will be able to take into account that an Edmonton loss goes a long way to putting 3rd in the division into play. So I'm not all that convinced our chances are less if Nashville wins.

Given that, why cheer for Edmonton at all? And yet this is another hill you want to die on? It's arguments like this that make *you* look foolish.

I hate the Oilers as much as anyone but if they win today it helps the Flames. Anyone who disagrees either is lying to themselves or literally hate the oilers more than they like the Flames. If so, good for you guys I'll be hoping they help the Flames and then go to hating them next game.

This does not bode well for Talbot.
Oilers only have two back to backs the rest of the way; Talbot could start in 17 more games

I was wondering who to cheer for but I think it is Nashville. They are 3rd in the Central so technically are not competing with the Flames for a playoff spot, I am still holding out hope of the Flames catching the Oilers, and most importantly I hate the Oilers and always hope they lose. Go Preds Go!

The BJs open the scoring 62 seconds into the game, Nash ties it up for the Rangers, and then Atkinson with a power play goal for a 2-1 BJs lead just seven minutes into the game. It is the same score now in the second period.

Now they're saying McDavid's brain is two steps ahead of everybody else's.

Apparently he's a more evolved human.

Not sure about that, he looks pretty derpy to me.

No, I don't understand how the play-off format works

Again, you're betting it all on Sportsclubstats correctly determining the odds. So I'm lying to myself because I don't completely believe their calculations?

Wenneberg scores his second goal of the game, 3-1 Columbus.

Default February 26 with six games.

Every time Edmonton score, I feel sad.

Every time someone scores against the Oilers, I smile. Even now, I'm smiling just thinking about it while I type.

The Flames are going to make the playoffs under their own steam. We don't need help from teams in places that are no good.

Edit: sad face now. :/

Wonder if these announcers will know that it's still a penalty?

EDIT: Drew Remanda does, in fact, know the rules of the sport he covers.

Oh well, I'll take the Preds goal for a 2 minute minor.
