Moving to Vancouver Island
So me and at least 15 people are looking at buying property in Vancouver Island, not looking for a city or town, but more remote area..
Anyone know a good realtor or people who might be selling property in the next year?

Help, save, whatever.

I've got a place for sale. It's really remote. Completely surrounded by mountains and the only way to get to it is by boat.
Has a newly refurbished bunker, fully stocked with multiple types of weapons. The government satellites can't spy on us because we have installed a dome. The property also has one master bedroom for our leader and many smaller rooms for his wives and children.
Our cult has gotten a little bigger so we are looking to move onto something a little more spacious. PM me if interested.

That's a pretty broad request? Having grown up on the island, I have a little insight, but you will have to be a little more specific. Do you want beachfront, mountains, east, north, west, south... My parents just moved from Nanaimo to Lake Cowichan and that's a nice little area with access to a nice lake, a quick drive to the west coast (Port Renfew) or east coast (Duncan)

Wife and I spend time in Port Alberni area in the summer. Dave Koszegi is a realtor out there with quite a few listings. Never met the guy but you can't miss his truck. Good luck!

Parksville is really nice. Slow lifestyle, everyone drives calmly, lots of bingo nights and knitting clubs.

This sounds like cult behavior, especially if you end up finding a "compound."

I can vouch for this as my parents live there.
Also, come to think about it, some guy from Saskatchewan moved there a few years ago, and bought a few acres of forest, I think he wanted to take down a tree, so he bought a chainsaw, which lead to, buying more stuff, taking down more trees, and now he has a full fledged excavation company.
I can still hear him chainsawing right up until dusk, almost every night out there. I think he has a wood chipper too.
Might be the sort of thing your viking clan wants to try there. or build boats.

Also, think the Comox/Courtney area is really nice.
So is Campbell River farther north.

Ya, lots of lumber for boats and locations to launch raiding parties from. I'd move to Vancouver Island as well.

Hell, if we're going to raid England or France, count me in too.

You can search Landquest.
http://www.landquest.com/buyrealesta...verIsland.aspx
Keep in mind that a lot of it is just undeveloped land.

This is competing for one of the weirdest questions I've seen here... Not as high up as JHunt223's question, but probably within range.

Yeah, you'll definitely need to be more specific. For South Island, I'd look at Metchosin or East Sooke if land is your primary interest.

I like Parksville as it has good proximity to numerous beaches and is close to Nanaimo. However I don't think its as isolated as the OP is looking for here.
