i have a feeling cervenka is going to light it up tonight.

Seems like the type of player who can really light up a bad goalie.

Predication: we see the second straight game of big boy Bo, cervenka and hudler have two points each. Kipper lets in one soft goal, but it doesn't break the team.

4-3 Flames.

I know it's early, but this really does seem like a make it or break it moment for the team. A win will put us at 5 points in 5 games. A loss leaves us at 3 points in 5 games. We'll either find ourselves in the middle of the pack or in a hole.

Considering that the trade deadline is coming up quick in a shortened season (yes I know the season just started), this has to be treated like a must win game.

The only reason we're 15th is because at this point we've played 1-4 games less than every other team in the league going into this game, and the average is probably about 3. And we're not even the worst in the league. If we win, we'll be thrown up the standings quite a bit, then on Saturday, if we can pull another win out, we'll be looking good, and we'll stop being pessimistic.. and probably jinx it.

Can't wait to watch the Czechs again.

And Wideman.

If nothing else, the team has some exciting forwards.

2-0 final
Baertschi x2
With 25 saves, Baertschi posts his first shutout
Avs badly outcoached by Baertschi
After the game, Baertschi puts Comeau on waivers

Flames destroy the Avs 5-1 tonight. Double them up in shots 35-17

Goals by Iggy (2), Glencross, Wideman, Cervenka.

Firstly, Thor I'm with ya. Not worrying about work tomorrow, will show up when I wake up and put my time in.

Secondly, to all the people saying the flames are ripe for getting beat because of the aves circumstances coming in, forget it. This is a new flames team and if they crap the bed then maybe you are right. Until then I am giving them the Benifit of doubt.

This guy sitting Accross from me in the pub snorted/snored when I read a post saying the flames would win, so I saw VICTORY

So what, now he's Supreme Leader Admiral General Baertschi??

I wonder if commissioner Baertschi is aware?

Lol. What a joke of a post, you know that Baertschi has no control of putting Comeau on waivers?

It feels like an eternity since the last game. I'm not sure how the schedule did that to us in such a compressed season. This one should be a lock.
