Don't know enough about the US system, but wouldn't that medical stuff be covered somehow since it wasn't his fault? Yeah, if not it doesn't seem worth it.

Hector!
At this rate, I'm thinking we see Gus in the next season or 2.

Wow, Tio Salamanca!
Chuck had a wife Rebecca? Surely, Jimmy had something to do with the end of that relationship. Another axe to grind for Chuck.
They must have a few legal consultants - they get so much right about big firms down to public defenders.
Jimmy's babysitter - terrific scenes.
Kim is the star tonight:

My bet is that Chuck's condition had more to do with it - but whatever the true underlying reason, Chuck somehow blames Jimmy for it.

It's a bit of a stretch, but I also feel like Season 5 of Breaking Baddid a good job of doing the same thing.

The real Rick Ross went from nobody to exponentially wealthier than Walt and Mike in less time. Real drug dealers have made more money in less time, it's not implausible.

the money isn't implausible.
Mike being able to access interpol/foreign government paperwork better than the DEA 5 years after being a beat cop is implausible though.
Mike is basically this guy: from Clear and Present Danger. That guy's previous job? Spy for Castro.
Different set of skills I would imagine.

Latin Jack Ryan also broke that lady's neck when #### got real.
I assume that Mike just knows where to look and has friends on the inside still.

Last night put a very different spin on Hamlin. He was an ass to Jimmy and held him back because Chuck made him so we felt he was good but, last night we find out Hamlin is keeping Kim in the doghouse and is capable of being an ass on his own so we are back to not liking him.
Can't wait for this weeks podcast.

Why is it implausible? Rick Ross could have gotten any paperwork he wanted, he was on the inside with the American government and for a time could have gotten anything, same with El Chapo. Both had connections and neither had any former police experience, hell, Pablo Escobar almost became the prime minister of Columbia.
You underestimate the power of drug cartels. Also, American agencies are notoriously bad with security, several people have broken into FBI, NSA, DEA and NASA servers. The password for NASAs database was password123 for a while.

I get the impression that Hamlin has a hard-on for Kim, and is punishing her for being with Jimmy which is evident to him now as she knew about the commercial before he did.

Better Call Saul Insider. The editor of the show hosts a weekly podcast that discusses each episode with Vince Gilligan, Peter Gould, writers/directors, and usually one or two cast members. Odenkirk has been on it several times, as has almost all the main cast - I can't remember off the top of my head if McKean has been on it or not, to be honest.

Love the show but the only thing that's a little hard to take is how old and weak Mike appears compared to Breaking Bad.

Location Scout Article
http://www.cracked.com/personal-expe...call-saul.html
But then you've got shows like Breaking Bad and its prequel, Better Call Saul. Both of them take place in Albuquerque, New Mexico, and by God, they really are filmed there. But that presents a whole other list of weird challenges that have to be solved by people like Alex Gianopoulos, a location scout who helped turn a fairly obscure city into the fictional meth capital of the USA.
