Seems like holding a lead not a strong suit. Are they just not that tight defensively? Shaky goaltending?

It continues to amaze me that every year the Heat seem to have a team that they cannot beat no matter what, and it's frustrating as all hell.

Seemed like it was the Texas Stars for a few years, then that one year it was the friggin Utica Comets, then last year it was San Jose. Now it looks like it's going to Tucson.

Heat are 3-0-0 against anyone but Tucson, and 0-2-1 against Tucson.

Game 1 the Heat held a 1-0 lead in the third, lost in OT despite out shooting Tucson 44-30
Game 2 the Heat had a 3-0 lead 5 minutes into the game, and a 4-2 lead in the 2nd, blew it and lost 6-5 in regulation
Game 3 the Heat have a 3-1 lead heading to third and a 3-2 lead with 5 minutes to go, lose 4-3 in regulation

Of course I want the Heat to win, but when was the last time the Flames had as many young prospects with potential to make the big team?

How many points does Kylington have so far? Sounds like he is already stepping it up from last year as well.

3 in 6gp, and he's +5, which is the real success imo. I'm hoping he can put up about .5-.6 p/g and somewhere around +10 this year. If he can do that, the Flames' #4D problem is solved for 2017-18.

Rasmus Andersson leads the defence with 6 points but is only a +1. Here's the team stats.

It's early, and I can't comment on the quality of the shots either, but Kylington leads all Dmen in shots on goal too.

He has more shots than Klimchuk and Pribyl even.

Stockton has released Colby Robak from his PTO and recalled Kanzig from the ECHL per the AHL transactions page.

It looks like they couldn't agree to a contract with Robak who has been very good for the Heat so far this season.

Yeah, that's not going to help the Heat at all.

It is still possible they might be in the process of signing Robak, but given they recalled Kanzig on the same day, I don't think it is likely (the only other possibility is that they are going to sign Robak and another d-man is injured).

Robak probably wants a NHL two way contract. Kulak would be a good replacement.

Utica signs Robak to AHL deal:

Ben Birnell @OD_Birnell
Comets have added dman Colby Robak on an AHL deal. He has 5 assists in 6 games with Stockton this season.
He has played in 376 AHL games

I'm a little surprised that if all it took was an AHL deal, the Flames didn't sign him. He was great by all accounts and a much needed veteran for a young team and young blueline.

Must think they will be sending Kulak back soon.

Or Robak thinks he'll have an easier time getting an NHL deal from the Canucks. or the Canucks gave him more AHL $$$.

Now the Flames have more pieces from both sides of the Phaneuf trade than the Leafs do.

Remember, at the time, when people were saying that giving away Aulie was the part of the trade the Flames would be regretting the most in a couple of years? I 'member.
