I will wait for the Bluray, but very much looking forward to this. Attenborough is a legend, and at his age you never know how many more of these he'll be around for.

Going to be hell waiting to see what 4K options will be available since none have been announced yet.
Filmed in 4K w/ HDR, but no 4K blu-ray announced, and no 4K streaming options announced. Weak BBC, weak.

Yeah, there's really no one quite like Sir David Attenborough. The man is one of my (very few) idols. I saw him speak 3 years ago and he's clearly having issues getting around these days.

It blows my mind how they are able to capture some of those scenes. Unreal work. Thoroughly enjoyed the first one, really looking forward to this.

The next time I'm having a bad day I'm just going to remind myself that I'm not one of those penguins.

It's coming to BBC America at the end of January. Not sure when it's coming to Canada.

Any idea if Attenborough will be narrating the North American version or if they will go with Signorney Weaver again?
Nothing against Weaver but it was a bit of a disappointment when I got the blu ray and a different voice from Attenborough was narrating.

??
Both my DVD and BluRay Planet Earth had Attenborough.
edit: looks like the BBC release had Attenborough and the Discovery Release had Sigourney Weaver.
What a ridiculously unnecessary change on Discovery's part. What a waste of money.

Just watched the Mountains episode. Apparently some of the bear stuff was filmed in Alberta.

Had an idea!
I like how they focus in on one specific animal and tell us a story about how it survives on a day to day basis.
Absolutely amazing.

Telus just sent me an email saying Planet Earth II will be airing on BBC Earth, channel 725, starting Feb 18. Channel is on free preview until April so anyone with Telus can watch.
Also said it is available on demand.
