I'm not too familiar with this cleanse or any of them in particular but every time I hear about them my BS meter goes off. The purveyors of cleanses certainly claim a lot. This build up of toxins (whatever that is) sounds fishy. Toxins sound like a nothing word, like energy or qi/chi. I wasn't aware that things built up in your body, most things that enter your body leave in a couple days. What exactly is it cleansing? I've never heard of any real doctor recommending a cleanse which speaks volumes.

That's only because there's a massive conspiracy perpetrated by the medical-industrial complex to keep herbal/alternative remedies from gaining popular acceptance.

What about parasite cleanses?

I just had a meeting with a herbal specialist and she looked at my hands, fingernails, eyes, teeth, tongue and then did 'electric muscle strength tests' where she put her hand on my shoulder and then tapped different points on my body.

She told me that I have elevated yeast/parasite count, and severely reduced liver and kidney capacity for my age.

She was also asking questions about my general health that seemed to be leading her into her diagnosis which is sort of what I imagine meeting with a psychic is like...

Honestly, the treatment package she recommended for 1 month for myself and my wife was less than $450 and it is so believable that these things are actually happening and causing general feelings of tiredness, etc. But there is a big part of me that is screaming BS!

yeast is natural to have and is only of significance in the presence of symptoms. if your "parasite levels" where high, you'd be very ill. i've had patients told that they had bacteria/yeast in their blood, so i did a blood culture to prove that they were being led awry and naturally it came back normal. as for reduced kidney and liver capacity, there are simple blood tests for that - ask your GP to check your creatinine (and throw in a urinalysis for fun) as well as checking your liver function tests (different from liver enzymes). i highly doubt they will be abnormal. the symptoms you allude to have differential diagnoses that are pages long and to assign them to liver and kidney function in the absence of any validated testing (whether through an appropriate physical exam and/or blood tests) is untruthful.

Finished the 12 day plan last night. It wasn't that bad, lost 6 pounds and got to try some different types of food. I don't eat that much garbage usually so it wasn't a shock to my system or anything, just a bit tough not having toast with my eggs in the morning.

Honestly, I didn't really give a crap about cleansing "toxins" from my body, but if it was just a regular diet I wouldn't have been very motivated to follow it through, but since I paid $34 for the supplements I knew I wouldn't go off the plan.

After it's done I can say that it has broken some of my bad eating habits, not being able to buy any processed foods really opens your eyes. I'm going to really cut down on my sugar intake from now on and that idea doesn't seem that difficult anymore.

Of course there was no burger there. You ate it.

Sure they work!

You give $450 to the parasite and then she'll leave you alone!

First thing I thought of when I read the first post:

http://www.ubersite.com/m/109784

NSFW language in it, but I imagine it is pretty accurate regarding this detox process stuff. I'm staying away from that, I've got enough stuff compunded into my system that I think I may just die if I tried to get it all out at once.
